Creating a new thread since the last one appears to have died...

If the old one gets recovered please merge it with this one.

If there's anything Anime or Manga related you'd like to talk about please feel free to write something up, I would like nothing more than to engage in some discussion on my primary hobby.

---

Nogizaka Haruka No Himitsu - Episode 10

Before anything else I'd just like to address a common anime dialogue issue that is so widespread you cannot watch a series without it happening.

Characters never finish their sentences when they're in an awkward situation. A whole boat load of drama could be avoided if they actually finished sentences. It's perhaps one of the most frustratingly stupid quirks anime has. The same thing applies when they're trying to be "mysterious". So impossibly annoying at times.

Yuuto came dangerously close to becoming another insufferable pussy character, though not anywhere near as bad as say Makoto(School Days) or Takayuki(KGNEN), he still lacked the balls to actually make a stand and speak when he should do. At the end of the episode though, he totally redeemed himself and did the right thing with absolutely no hesitation which earns him major kudos and elevates him above other horribly indecisive characters, so we're cool again. :p

Not entirely innocent herself, Haruka makes a point of wanting to be extremely ignorant to the point where it makes me want to bash my head against my desk in frustration. But she is a girl, after all. :P So I suppose I can forgive her... Especially when she makes such a pathetic face when she's sad. =( ... I wub her... <3

Overall, the issues from the last episode were resolved nicely and easily. And the ending of this episode was superb, I had a few tears leak out. I love this show, I will have to make a point of archiving it just incase it does not get licensed.

Image

Yes, I cried like a girl.

Also, I'm glad we got to meet Eric. He was totally epic. I will rename him Epic Eric.

Slayers Revolution - Episode 12

Not much to say about this one, it was your bog standard run up to the final battle episode, with drama killing moments in typical Slayers fashion. Also... No Pacifist Crush or Good-will-to-all-men Smash were used against Demon Beast Zanafar... So disappointing. =(

Sylphiel. <3 Now I just need Rezo to come back to life so I can ship them :P

Ozel will be back in the next episode too, so hopefully we will finally learn what her connection is to Rezo.

Next week's episode is the last until April though, when the series will return with the second thirteen episode arc. I demand more Rezo out of this arc. Cuz you know... people listen to my demands and such.

Zero No Tsukaima S3 - Episode 11

Wow, this episode was actually quite good. Between the dancing, Tabitha's angst, the short fight against Bidashal, Louise trying to make herself jiggle which was hilarious... it was all quite a nice package. Louise even managed not to piss me off. I <3 Tiffania...

I wonder how things are going to end next week. Though I'm sure the last romantic moment will get ruined by another inappropriate boob joke... again.

I didn't get the PM. =o

But it doesn't matter because I didn't buy Henkei TC, I only got Skywarp. Just under $65 shipped.

I am eagerly awaiting all the season finales coming up next week! But also dreading them because... I hate it when a series comes to an end.

I guess this is kind of off topic, but not all the threads have died. Good thing I used geass to make the Code Geass thread “live on”!

But I can’t get the Anime thread up, so it seems to depend on the topic.

Oh and to stay on topic, yeah, I’m sad it’s ending too.

It seems that any post made after a certain point in time shows up on thread listings, but doesn't exist otherwise. As such, any thread made after that back-up point appears, but otherwise, doesn't exist. The Geass thread was made well before the back-up point, so it gets to Live On. The older thread was made after the back-up point, so it got a face-full of Geass-Canceller.

Are you crazy? As if the most recent SM dubs weren't bad enough. XP

Stick with the subtitles! Really with the way they've been resurrecting old shows recently I wouldn't be surprised if it happened some time in the future. Though personally I don't think a new Sailor Moon would appeal beyond its hardcore fanbase, it being a shoujo series as well doesn't help it since they wouldn't ecchi it up to attract "other" people. It's primarily still a show for young girls.

It took me over a month to watch five episodes of Macross.

Man, what is wrong with me? It's been defined as the best mech anime other than Gundam. And it's good. I really do like it. The music is catchy, the characters are interesting, the overall concept is great. So why the hell can't I sit through one episode?

I have the same problem a bunch of other stuff. Actually, I think I may have AADD (Anime Attention Deficit Disorder).

I think I'll go watch Trigun--And what's Ichigo up to this week--hey, Setsuna has a new Mobile Suit--And what kind of twist is Lelouch going to be involved in today--I think I might watch Death Note again--Time for some Macross--I like cupcakes.

Blassreiter - Episode 16
Hermann kicked ASS in this episode! Despite a little psychosis he was totally awesome. My only hope is that he stays a regular cast member and gets control of himself, I don't want him to end up like Gerd. Gerd was all kinds of awesome, and I really miss him.

I was so sure Gerd was going to be the main character, considering he was the focus of the first few episodes, but alas it was not to be. =(

Detroit Metal City - Episodes 5 & 6
Once again I find myself laughing my ass off at the comedy and elated at how awesome this show is. There are three major storylines in these two episodes, covering "The romance of the Pig of Capitalism", "Negishi's Return Home" and "The Kintama Girls." All of which are pant wettingly hilarious.

I would love to spoil them so much but the impact is so much greater if you watch them for yourself. Especially the appearance by "Sid Vicious", haha.

There are two seasons of Code Geass you could through, it's one of the hot topics right now. If you like Naruto you could go through the first two arcs of Bleach as well, some great fights and characters in there.

It really picks up towards the end of the first arc, and once all the captains and lieutenants get involved it gets very cool. After the end of the second arc though things get a bit repetitive.

I just wish they'd close the Aizen story already so I have some closure.

i watched this anime show in the early 90s it was airing sunday morning on fox. Not sure if it was gundam something or not but the lead character would become more in touch with evil every time he stepped into the suit. It was really dark only seen it twice but it looked pretty cool.

I don't think it was Gundam. Wing was the first series to get an English dub, but it didn't air until 1999-2000, and it aired on Cartoon Network.

Like is gundam-like suit drew him to evil the more he was in it. it was a black mech.

I have no idea what it could be. A name or a physical description of a character would really help.

Yeah, evil robots with a black paint-job are very common.

So, I just finished the episode "Daedelus Attack" in Macross, and I noticed an error. The Zentradi referred to Saturn as the fifth planet in our system. And unless Venus, Mercury, or Jupiter has been destroyed, Saturn would be the sixth planet. It may have just been an error by the people doing subtitles, because the Zentradi had a map of the system, and it even showed that Saturn was still sixth planet.

It's hard to tell. There's a weird echo in the Zentradi voices. I think he said something along the lines of Roku, so it was probably a subtitle error. (Go is 5, I know that much)

So i'm tempted to buy the protoculutre set. Anyone have it? Ive bought the odd volume of the shows over the years and like them alot so i want the whole damn thing.
