NFL Thread (Replacement)

Well since it looks like we lost the original thread due to the crash I'll start this one up. If you are able to salvege the old thread lock this one up. Good to have you back.

Now onto the NFL talk.

New England Patriots lose to the dolphins. Epitomy of the "any given sunday" phrase.

Now if only San Diego can get onto the winning track it will make for a good weekend.

I'm still waiting for the Colts to start the season! *sigh* rough times for us here in Indy. Right now I'm not even thinking Superbowl, or even playoffs. I just wanna see them when a game in their new $720 million dollar stadium! The intials for Lucas Oil Stadium is "LOS". So far its lived up to the name.

I'll stick by them no matter what but a game like the one I saw today really rips your heart out. Down by 6, colts come back and win it, but give the Jaguars 1 minute left. A Defense that can't stop and old grandma lets them get into field goal range and they win it, and Colts fans are left with their mouths stuck open... I need a beer.

The Denver Broncos are looking very good. Their offense is potent, while their defense is otherwise..

I picked up a Jay Cutler jersey too. It's lucky.

Eagles have alot of potential to go deep in the playoffs the D just has to keep its head in the game and the Pass rush needs to wake up and smell the coffee.

I hope westbrooke's ankle isn't sprained.

Jaguars are ALWAYS better then the Colts, you seem to forget this :D

Colts and Jaguars games are usually either tight and close the whole game aka "nailbiters" or one sided beatings from either team. Honestly the New England - Indy rivalry is over-rated. Indy-Jacksonville is really the big one. Every single game could go either way.

Still happy my colts are starting to show signs of life...though the defense needs help. Even then though when your offense is going 3 and out and you gotta try to stop an offense 45 minutes... well you're going to be tired. I saw the Colts D get progressively worse throughout the game and I definitely think Fatigue was a big issue.

No doubt it was a team win from the Jaguars, and a team loss from the Colts. looking forward to December though. The beauty of loosing to a division opponent is you always get a second chance for revenge...

However there was an iffy call towards the end that had it not been made it would of won the game for the Colts. It was 4th and 1. Garrard takes the snap, over throws his receiver, Colts have them stopped we're cheering feeling glad we made it through the game...but wait theres a flag. Like 5 seconds after the play the official decides to throw a flag. "Pass Interference: Defense #54". They show the replay... I immediatly wanna throw a chair in the wall. I see a Jacksonville reciever run into Freddy Keiaho, push off from him, trip and fall on the ground, and Garrard overthrow a ball... how exactly is that Pass interference?

No excuses though. Makes me mad but its not going to change the outcome. Jaguars won...maybe not fair and square, but they won!

Colts should be fine. They are always superbowl contendors regardless of their record and schedule.

I think they will be, just got off to a rough start. Main problem was Peyton Manning sat out all of Training camp and pre-season. He came back with a rookie make-shaft Offensive line (Jeff Saturday got hurt in Pre-season, Jake Scott left for the titans in off season, Ryan Lilja is on the PUP list, only Tony Ugoh and Ryan Diem were the names you knew at the start of the season!) Jeff just returned to the line-up this past game and already the Offense started looking more potent. In their loss to the Jaguars they actually looked better than they did with their win against the Vikings! But sheesh Defense needs work too... The colts have already given up close to 600 rushing yards in their 3 games.

Defensive tackle has seemed to be a postion in which the Colts are cursed at and it carried on this year. The 2 projected starters were supposed to be Quin Pitcock and Ed Johnson. Well Quinn Pitcock, who would be in only his second year, decided during training camp he no longer has the passion for football and decided to go into early retirement. Ed Johnson, after the first game, decides to get busted for smoking weed while driving a car... dumb ass. The Colts wasted no time, cut him like 5 hours after the announcement.

To make matters worse, Bob Sanders got hurt in the game against the Vikings and will be MIA for the next 6 weeks. Its just been a crazy start to the Colts season... everyone's season for that matter!

Cowboys are going all the way this year! 3-0 baby.

I really do hope the lose a game soon to get the undeated talk from the media away, of course, this should only happen after the Giants get their first loss.

I hate the Titans, but why does no one talk about them like they are contenders this year?

they are kicking ass!

Because there isn't a Manning, Brady, Moss, Romo, or Owens on the team! :P

Seriously, I concur that the Titans are lokking like the team to beat in the AFC, with the Bills and Broncos right behind them.

No one's talking about the titans because they STILL suck! The Colts will re-claim the division before the playoffs and expose how weak the Titans actually are.

Titans beat the Jaguars, Jaguars beat the Titans.

By that logic the Titans are better :P

fixed your quote.

That logic never works BTW. ITs good in theory but it doesn't mean much. Different teams matchup differently. Kind of like the New England-Indy-Denver connection. Indy couldn't beat New England a couple years ago to save their life... But they could kick the broncos ass! Now when the Broncos played New England, they always handed them their ass! In theory if Indy could beat Denver, and Denver could beat New England, than Indy could beat New England... didn't ever work out that way however.

I for one am looking forward to kicking the Titans ass and re-claiming the division that is rightfully ours. Also Jacksonville only won the game because of a bogus PI call that didn't exist IMO. I honestly know how San Diego fans feel now... Its total crap that officials can call any call they please and get away with it.

Yep, I support the Jags and Browns mainly.

But the Vikings and Bengals are another two of my favorites.

But Browns and Jags get my attention more then anyone and it'd be next to impossible for me to pick between them.

FINALLY The Browns get a win!!

Man they were sucking in the first half. I really thought Braylon and Kellen were going to snap. I'm so glad they finally got their momentum going in the second half though.

I wish I could have seen the Texans/Jaguars game. It seemed so back and forth. I'm really glad the Jags won in the end though.

Sadly, the Vikings didn't win. :-(

I dont care how broncos lose just as long as they lose. Now San Diego need to wake up against oakland and play like the team they are.
