Buckethead left a long time ago.
I highly doubt it's coming out seeings how they had an official release date a few years ago and it never came out

I've always loved GNR, but after 10 years of anticipation, can this album do anything other than disappoint really?

Holy Jesus, this album sounds HORRRRRIBLE! Axle sounds more like freaking Bon Jovi than his old self. I think if this wasn't GNR, and with a different singer, the album might break out of obscurity. Otherwise. Ugh.

Terrible as GnR, but -decent- as standalone music. Chinese Democracy (the song) is actually -good-.
But, not GnR...
More like Axle Rose and Friends.

Not trying to bump a dead thread, but the release date is in a couple of days and figured it'd be better to bump this then see a new thread.
I finally heard the song Chinese Democracy on the radio yesterday. Axl's voice sounds good, but different. Buckethead's guitar work on the song is phenomenal. I'm going to give the album a chance. Hell, if I can give the new Metallica and AC/DC albums a chance I can give GNR more then one

So, I just finished listening to it. HOLY CRAP.
Its awesome. That is all I can say.

A lot of places are streaming it live tonight. Unbelievably, it lives up to the hype, this is going to be one of the best rock albums in a long time.

As a huge GNR fan, I can't say the album really does it for me. There are songs I genuinely like and keep on my ipod, like The Blues (it's name has changed since I got it), Better, There was a Time, IRS and a few others.
But it really isn't GNR as I love them. Axl would've done better to rename the band imo. Yes, there's a lot more hype etc with the band still being called GNR, but the spirit and sound of GNR is long gone.
