Thoughts?

Personally, I still feel this could go either way. Still, I don't mind not seeing Kirk in the gold tunic yet, and it's nice to see the skirts back  . And Quinto just looks wicked.

So, in the Spock picture.

Who actually sees Spock doing that, or Sylar going ape-@#$% during a Trek Convention?

Definitely not feeling Quinto (Hero's Sylar) as Spock. He's just not giving off that, logical, and unshakable Nimoy vibe.

But we'll have to wait and see how well he does it.

Kirk look like he just stepped of the Academy School Bus.

Uhura looks hot. I'd let her Open Hailing frequencies for me any time.

Not too bad, though the final judgment will come the day of the premiere.

Anybody else feel the uncontrollable urge to sing Weird Al's Star Trek Rhapsody all of a sudden.

For the record, I HATE remakes. They are a waste of time and rarely actually portray the original in a better lite.

I am not looking forward to this one.

However, whoever is playing "Bones" has got it to a T.

Every pic of him is perfect for a young Bones.

To be honest, I've never really been into star trek. (ducks) however, this movie looks like a great starting point.

Looking at these pictures makes me more and more excited for the new movie. Man it is really giving me that itch to watch the movies again. The only thing I want to see is the bridge as a whole and not what is just in that shot.

Q.F.T.
(quoted for truth or quite ****ing true, take your pick)

BSG has been phenominal. They kept the ideas and values of the original story, and added a lot of new ideas, a complex captivating plot, and edge-of-your-seat storytelling. Anyone who hasn't watched BSG is doing themselves a grave mis-service.

On the subject of the pictures at hand, I like how the clothing styles are so reminiscent of the original series. The Command Deck looks sweet. I'm hoping for the best and reserving judgment til I see it onscreen.

First pic I saw of the new Star Trek was the front of Entertainment
Weekly when I was at my hairdresser's. On that cover, the guy playing Spock (pardon me don't got the which actor is playing whom thing down yet). In that picture the two of us agreed he looked like Spock whereas the one as Kirk no, no, and no, and no.

I think it could be good but 4 me, yest waiting to see trailer attitude. My biggest beef in terms of exterior details though is that bridge--Could've handed it over to NCC-1701-E. It's too modern looking.

Karl Urban. He was Eomer in Lord of the Rings, and John "Reaper" Grimm in Doom. He's actually not a bad choice.

I had this same feeling when Enerprise was on

The NX-01 was supposed to a 100 year behind the NCC-1701 Enterprise but it looked like it was more advanced

Well honestly, how could they make it look even crappier than the bridge from the 60's? If they would have had the budget of the newer shows, the materials, the creation methods and the outlook on how technology would actually advance, it would have looked completely different. This is why the bridge doesn't matter to me. If this were the case, they should put the enterprise up on wires with Styrofoam planets in the background.

Spock and Kirk's hair annoy me.

Majorly.

It looks really fake.

It looks interesting but I'm still not 100% sold on another Star Trek prequel movie/series again. You need to go forward not backwards.

Well folks, those of you who haven't liked what you've seen so far, you probably won't like what's coming next...

...the first confirmed, genuine, 100% real image of the new film version of the U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701, as revealed at http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2008/11/star-trek-first.html

Eh...I would have preferred the fan design that Gabe Koerner did, frankly. I guess I'd have to see this thing on screen before I cast a solid judgement on it, but I can safely say I think the production designers got a wee bit too carried away with themselves.

I see the latter.
