Well me and my local 501st squad are trooping at the Aududubon zoo's "Zoo to Do for kids" today after work. I am so excited to do this for the kids that will be attending.

I think someone from my squad will bring a camera and will snap some pix so I will post them as soon as I get them.

Congratulations on the 501st Bishop!

That is cool as hell those kids get to experience that kind of stuff. Man, I would have been in heaven if I had those kind of experiences as a kid - to meet life size star wars characters.

Awesome 8) I agree, I would have died if I could have met "real life" Star Wars characters as a kid. I did see a remote control R2-D2 once at a mall when I was very young. That was awesome...

Man that is cool. I am sure the kids loved it as well as yourself.

I can agree with spike on this one. I've been a star wars fan ever since I first saw the re-released versions on the big screen in 1997! I would have been ecstatic at the chance to meet some of the characters from the star wars universe! I don't doubt that both you, your troop, and the kids all had a magnificent time!

Meeting Vader would've been awesome, but meeting Luke would've been awesomer.

Jedi 4 Life, homes.

The 501st is very active in the area I just moved to. I thought about joining, since I used to be in Starfleet (yes, I'm a nerd) and would like to also like to work with SW fans, except, I don't have any SW costumes :(

If I joined the 501st, I could play as the older Anakin Skywalker from the prequals, as I look a LOT like him. All I would need is the Jedi robes, no makeup whatsoever. Even when he turns Sith, but minus the yellow eyes and very dark color around them unless I added them with makeup.

But you know what the sad thing is, I'm a girl!

 I look like Darth Vader!

And no, I'm NOT kidding. I really do look like him, not even needing makeup.

Well. To be honest Hayden Christensen is a pretty feminine looking dude. If I were a homosexual I would totally hit it....WHAT?! STOP LOOKING AT ME LIKE THAT!

Maybe thats why Anakin fell to the dark side.

"Obi-wan, guys keep hitting on me thinking I'm a chick.....what....stop laughing....quit it, seriousy, I HATE YOU!"

Interesting.
My costume is EP3 Anakin.. Besides the costume I do not resemble him though.

We need to convert your saber to a luxeon so you can remove the blade when you want to.

Oh and by the way. That Saints Trooper is hilarious.

There is a place I can send it to convert it but I am going to get another one with a broken blade from a friend of mine so I can use the hilt.

It wouldn't happen to be the custom saber shop would it?

That was going to be my other guess. You should stop by theforce.nets costume and prop section some time. You could talk with Alex personally. He helped me a ton when I was making Joe's Luxeon saber.
