I'm interested in taking some pictures of my Transformers and I was wondering what do you use for the Photo Gallery backgrounds?

I believe Ryan uses a custom made light table.

However, for anyone wanting to take pictures of anything small like a transformer and have it come out nice, follow the steps below.

1. Use a high powered bulb like 100 watt that gives off a lot of light.
2. Use that bulb in an adjustable lamp that is compatible with that sort of wattage.
3. Find a table large enough to display your figure and still have plenty of space around it.
4. Pick up a roll of regular pure white wallpaper.
5. Hang the wallpaper from a height above where the camera will be focusing and draw it down and then underneath where your figure will sit on the table. Doing it this way stops you from having an edge to your backdrop that will be picked up by a camera.
6. Unless you have steady hands, I suggest getting a tripod.
7. Place your figure in the poses you want and adjust the lighting accordingly so it doesn't look washed out
8. Turn your flash off and your macro on.
9. Focus the lens with macro and then take your picture.

Viola.
