Not the book. But the movie was one of my favorites as a kid. Its been ages since I've actually watched it.

Still its one of those movies you see as a kid that really stays with you.

Never read the book. Really loved the movie as a kid.
That brings to mind another old favorite, "The Pagemaster"
Anyone remember that one?
Just remember this, the character "Horror"?
Yup, that was Frank Welker.

The Pagemaster, wow major time leap there. Still not a movie i liiked probably because I found Macaulay Culkin incredibly irritating.

Not a bad movie all in all, just not one that I liked that much Probably because by the time it came out I was already in my teens.

But if we are talking about older movies. I have to say, Disney's Pete's Dragon is also one of my fonder movie memories.

Of course I also loved Donald Duck in MathMagic Land. but of course that's one you only got to see at school for some reason.

Still I think the Phantom Tollbooth is one of the best animated films in many many years. It manages to educate and be fun at the same time.

Is Phantom Tollbooth when a kid enters a world with characters like the Dodecahedron and a mathematician?

Ah, then I do remember! Back in 6th grade my class read the play from the Literature book that the school provided and then we re-enacted the play. It was fun.
