He's a genuine old bloke, who is sadly a bit nuts and loves to dance, be there music or not. His dancing skills vary with his level of alcohol intake, you know that if you're in a pub and "Dancing Joe" comes in, then you're in for some cheap entertainment.
Whats more is he is aware of what he looks like and laps up the attention, which makes him all the more loveable. If nothing else its a clever plan to get people to buy you drinks just to see you dance like crazy.
