I love Godzilla movies. I just saw Final Wars and Godzilla vs Space-Godzilla. I am currently watching Giant Monsters all out Attack. Can anyone recommend any other good ones, I've seen all of the original series. I haven't seem much of the 90's or Millennium series, I've seen some of them but not much.

Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla and Godzilla: Tokyo SOS are really good.

If the movie has Gigan, watch it :P

Final Wars... It is kind of a "wrap up" to the series.. Until 2012 (or whatever the year is that Toho is supposed to start making Godzilla movies again).

There's a new one coming out next year some time, its called Godzilla 3D to the Max or Godzilla vs Deathla.

Some people say Deathla is just Hedorah repainted red, I really hope that's not true though. Hedorah was a terrible design.

Using Hedorah makes sense since everyone is so freaked out about pollution and what not nowadays.

I have seen every Godzilla movie except for Godzilla Raids again(haven't gotten around to getting that one yet), and I love each movie in their own way.

That being said, I thought Godzilla 2000 was pretty lame, and somewhat boring, but it brought back the rubber suit, which to me makes Godzilla slightly more believeable than a CG creature.

My favorite overall series is the 1990's series though, mostly because there was a sense of contiunuity between each movie, and there was a nice mix of new monsters and old monsters. Plus, the special effects and action were pretty good too.

Hedorah's a pretty cool villian I think. Sure they're fight drug on a little too long, but I find the design to be pretty interesting, his backstory could be considered original for it's time, and it's the only Godzilla movie of it's kind. While not my favorite, I like it for trying something different with the franchise.

Also, if I were alive back then, I'd definitely call it a step up from the clip-show fest that was "Godzilla's Revenge" that preceded it.

Gojira. it's combination of the Japanese words for Gorilla and Whale. It was originally the nickname of a large stage hand at TOHO stuidos.

You get a golden cookie! Don't try eating it though, you'll probably chip a tooth.

In the 90's Godzilla movie series, what is the origin of King Ghidorah?

He was Three cute creatures from the future called Dorats, who were sent back in time and were mutated by the same atomic blast that created Godzilla.

There actually is a logical explanation for this that I read online. Basically what happened was that Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth(90's Godzilla vs. Mothra in Japan) did a whole heck of a lot better in theatures than Toho expected, and I think is one of the highest grossing Godzilla movies ever. Because of that, and possibly because of attracting some kind of female audiance(not sure about that), Mothra was featured in three of the movies from the "Millenium series", and of course had a cameo in "vs. Spacegodzilla".

Heck, she even had her own trilogy of spin-off movies!!:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rebirth_of_Mothra

They're really not all that bad. They do cater to a younger audiance, but I found them to be pretty fun for what they are, and have some pretty cool monster battles in them. Unfortuneately, Rebirth of Mothra III has yet to see a DVD release, and the only way I ever got it was on the Sci-fi channel some years back. I think they show it every now and then still, but it's pretty rare to see.

Now then, as for Godzilla vs. Gigan, it's a pretty decent movie, and has a really long and cool fight at the end, but it, Godzilla's Revenge and Godzilla vs. Megalon are three of the lowest budget movies out of all the films. Expect to see some stock footage.
