Holy ****. Nobel Prize-winning, ball-explodingly amazing playwright Harold Pinter has passed away due to cancer, on Christmas Eve. He was 78. I for one have been a huge admirer of his work ever since picking up a copy of "The Birthday Party" a few years back. The man pretty redefined the concept of dialogue, and along with Samuel Beckett, is the greatest thing to ever happen to the medium of theatre. That's all there is to it, and hopefully he'll be remember as such.

HERE is the BBC's news story on his passing.

Holy hell...

I had to do one of his plays (Old Times) for Theatre Studies a few years back. If my damn examiner knew what the hell she was on about I'd have passed.

Anyone, that doesn't make me an enormous fan per-se, but he's actually been a part of my life and now he's gone...

R.I.P
