Holes in Your Collection!

Anybody have any collections that they're one away from finishing?

I myself have been trying to find Darkhawk #49 (that 90s series) for the longest time. I keep finding it on eBay, but the price isn't worth it when you include shipping. At conventions, it's impossible to find. I have every other issue from that series except for #49.

Anyone have any parts of their collection you just can't seem to finish?

I see that at the store all the time...

Personally, I love the Amalgam Comics that Marvel and DC made together. I'm missing a few.

Magneto & The Magnetic Men
Spider-Boy
Super Soldier
Bat-Thing
Dark Claw Adventures
Generation Hex
Lobo The Duck
Super Soldier: Man of War
Challengers of the Fantastic
Exciting X Patrol
Iron Lantern
Magnetic Men featuring Magneto
Spider-Boy Team Up
Thorion of the New Asgods

Holy crap I'm missing a lot more then a few :-(

The most recent pressing was only released in Australia, and that has been out of print for fifteen years. You're probably thinking of "Who Cares A Lot?" which is a greatest hits. It's got a dude surrounded by dancers on the cover, whereas "We Care A Lot" has two squares overlapping to make an eight-pointed star for a cover.

Yikes! I didn't know that was out of print. I should have picked that up years ago, but... oh well. I got caught up trying to find bootlegs and lost interest in the band.

What I was never able to find by FNM was the studio version of Mike Patton singing As The Worm Turns. The live version is fantastic.

Damn, The week those came out were hell, people couldn't decide what to buy. Some bought them all, some refused outright to buy any, but it was interesting to see what the Marvel Zombies and DC Faithful thought of them. I'm sure i have the original miniseries for the cross-over and the 12 titles that shipped when it happened, but I can't remember if I picked up any of the second series the year after.

Transformers?...BotCon 2006 Megatron (he makes me sad) and GF Noisemaze Production Type DVD exclusive

Sota Street Fighter...wow, not much honestly. I suppose I could use the Gamestop variant Blanka or the Asia market exclusive Black Gen, but otherwise, I have everything I care to.

Gashapon Figures...I still need a good B.Jennet and Mai from KOF MI. There are a few others, but I collect these things for funsies so, no stress.

What kind of conventions have you been to? Anything even close to the size of SDCC or one of the Wizard World Cons? If I go to Wizard World Philly this year, I will look for it for you.

What's the value on one of those Megs these days?

Hard to gauge. It should be around 4-5 hundred for Megatron and Waspinator, but I've seen Megatron sell for $800 on BBTS and then sit around and not sell on eBay for $600.

I really do think it is in the 4-5 hundred range, but that there are a few people out there on occasion who will buy the set at whatever price is presented just because they can. Dollar values get sketchy when things don't appear on the market too often.
