Any Wal-Mart Employees? I have a request.

Recently we had a news story about wal-mart displays with the Transformers movie characters on the cardboard cutouts. Well on the opposite side is of course the ones for Spider-Man 3. I'm curious if any Wal-Mart employee would be willing to save all of them for me when they are due to be trashed? My brother was wanting them for his Spider-Man collection and wanted me to ask. Or if you can get a hold of extras that would be even better.

Damn its that easy?
When ROTS came out it was like pulling teeth to get the Star Wars cutouts from Target and I work there
I think that they are afraid of us selling them on ebay
Well this time the plan o gram mgr is a transfan and we are splitting up the cutouts amongst ourselves

Pretty much. Wal Mart throws away the displays when they are finished with them.
I can talk to my friend and see if anyone else wants the TF displays. If not I am sure I can hook you up.

Appreciate you folks possibly hooking me up with these. I think it might make my brother so happy that he might post here. Lord that's frightening.

I stopped by this morning to check on that for you, and to see the display you were talking about.
The toy dept. manager was not there this morning, and dayamn, that spider man promo is LARGE. Know of a good way to ship something like that, Muff?

Could probably use a couple pieces of large cardboard and just tape them together. And to be clear, I'm not talking about the one that is over the top of the toy aisle. There are small maybe 1x3' long panels on the displays in the middle of the main aisles. Theres one for Spider-man, Goblin, Venom and Sandman. And then I think two larger ones that are about 3x3'.

Man I'm glad you cleared that up. The one over the isle is a monster.
I know which ones you're talking about now. Shouldn't be a problem. I'll try to find something out tomorrow morning for ya.

I spoke with the toy manager this morning. She said that the backs of the Spiderman promos you want have the new Transformers movie promos on the other side, so it will be at least until after the hype for the Transformers movie is over.
She also said they were property of Hasbro, and that she would have to get permission from the Hasbro rep (who visits the store twice a week) to give them to me. She said she will ask next time she sees him.
So, hopefully he is a decent guy.

I wanted to bump this back up to see if any news had developed on the subject.

I finally got up with the toy manager (she was on vacation). She spoke with the Hasbro rep, and they are as good as yours, NW.
We just have to wait until the Transformers promo dies down, as the Spidey 3 promos are double-sided with the new Transformers movie.
I’ll keep ya updated dude.
