your opinion on these things...

yay or nay

I mean, they DO transform...
they sorta look robotic, some ARE robots...

they sort of have an automorph transformation when you activate the magnet...

whaaag?

WTF is wrong with you. JK:P

Can't say I'm a fan of the BBB. It looked good for all of 5 minutes, but then i remembered its another japaneese "the fate of the universe is determined by this game" show's.

why does every japaneese saturday morning cartoon involve a game, that determines the fate of the world, being played by little kids?

what made a huge hit in the past, they keep the formula and recycle it over and over.

Just like their Sentai (Power Ranger stuff) that has been going on for decades!

Atleast The spinoffs died, and just left power ranger. VR troopers, Big Bad beetle Borgs, all died and we still have power rangers.

Let these show's die. No more Yu-gi-oh, BAkugan, or card captors.

I'm startin a petition, who's joining?

I think the formula has been tried and proven that it works.
I can't wait for TF to jump on the band wagon :)

minicons and head/target/power masters!

in the mean time, I think the bakugan are pretty awesome!

*My son collects them. He has over 30 stupid little balls that pop open to reveal whatever form. All i hear when he plays with them is "Bakugan brawl!!! so and so stand!" Usually followed with a loud BOOM because he launches them at the wall. I really get mad when he does it with the ones about the size of a baseball.

For tf game cards: Yep, that would be good, but not like the LotR-style, where they cut every single word from the movie, and made cards to it. With a little innovation and new characters made on cards, it could win. Maybe high-end miniatures (better than the Attacktix crap) would win too, if made available for fragment of the real figures price (cause, then people would simply buy the bigger figures).

For an anime based on TF game cards: Hell, NO!!! The last thing I want to see is Optimus Prime materialize itself from cards or little figures in a show, japanese tf shows were commercials enough as they were.

Yeah it's kinda like this.

Always been bothered by these shows where all the kids do is play the game. And the more accurately they play it to the real game, the more disturbing it is…

At least on the Pokemon show they don’t sit around playing Gameboy all day ;)

Eh, well my approach on this show is abit sneery. Bakugan is just another gimmick anime like Yu-Gi-Oh & Beyblade, shame too because when the trailer for Bakugan came on Cartoon Network in the UK it did look quite cool.

But I was kinda swept off my feet by the cool animation, I just didnt see it was like one those dueling animes...

the anime is O-K,
Yugi-Oh was definitely cooler cause it was darker.

the story really doesn't make any sense.
but then again when the toy came first... that's what usually happens...
unless they spend years and years with good writers.

Now days it's all about marketing and demographic

the game is... very simple, like "War" that you play with the deck of cards...
highest number wins.

roll your Bakugan onto a metal gate card and the magnet in the toy will spring it open.
Then add the number from the figure with the correct number on the card, there are usually like 6 different numbers each one applies to a different planet that the creatures come from.

As for the figures, they are pretty neat.
very bite size and lots of different ones to choose from.

Overall I think it works. A good toy. :APPLAUSE:

Point of Contention.

Anime in Japan is shown all week, with many shows in the evening, they are only saturday morning fare in countries where weeabo viewing numbers are higher on week-ends.

yeah in the show they throw them like baseballs!
but the things are fragile.

And the big ones (deka bakugans) I'm sure arent meant to be thrown either.

That reminds me of a stand up routine from around the time TF's came out. The toys, they transform, car, jet, but can they really fly, let's see, oh, they transform into a pile of junk!

I work part time in retail (full time HS English teacher) and we were selling out of those little marble things for months! Now we're almost overstocked and I need to clean up after Bakugan shoppers every 20 minutes or so. Why can't people put the damn things back on the hooks!?!?!? The Star Wars toys and hotwheels/matchbox only get wrecked every couple weeks. Oh the humanity!
