Anyone from PA? The Coatesville fires?

Just curious. In Coatesville, PA there has been over 40 homes set on fire since Jan 1st. 2009. ATF officers are in town, as is the National Guard. There has only been one death thus far (a holocasut survivor. Isn't that atrocious?) and these fires keep continuing.

Parkesburg is 5 minutes up the road and my whole neighborhood is freaking out. No one even keeps a grill or propane tank in their back yard for fear of this crap. Even front lawns are completely empty.

Who the hell would want to do that? How the hell is this person(s) not caught yet? The only lead the police have is they believe it is a gang initiation ritual, and of course the normal sick copycats. What the f-bomb? If entering a gang means destorying someone's home and possibly killing them, is a bandana or the right tow ear gang colors really that important. These are some sick damn people!

I was just wondering if anyone else had heard anything? thoughts? Concerns?

Not from the area, not heard anything, but it does sound like the arsonist fires that were plaguing the DC area a couple years back.

I do not recall the DC fires. What was the case there, or more accurately, what was the conclusion.

It's seriously messed up.

Rumor had it that the fires were gang related.

It's the reality of our society.

In my area there has been 9 shootings in the last 11 days. One of the shooting victoms was in the news in 2007 as 4 of his associates and 2 innocent people had been killed at the apartment he rented.

there are just some stupid people in this world, and they make things worse for the rest of us.

Yeah, I live, like 15 minutes from Coatesville. I mean, apart from the potheads, we have a fairly nice community. Personally, i think it may be being handled lightly due to all the properties destroyed being low-value homes, which should clear the way for better development.

But yeah, scary stuff.

Sorry for the double post and necromancy, but they finally caught the arsonist, or so I've heard.
