I picked this up today, which surprised me since the release date is listed as this coming tuesday....but anyway heres my opinion on it...without really giving away too much

(From my blog)

I bought the 4th Futurama movie tonight. Which is unusual since it isnt supposed to come out till Tuesday. So far though, Im actually disappointed with the movie....hnnnn

EDIT: Watched the flick the whole way through. While it was certainly just as funny as any of the episodes, i admit, for a finale, I was expecting a lot more in the way of closure. One of my biggest questions finally got answered but a lot of other stuff...it didnt seem to jive as well to me with the other 3 movies. Out of the four, I rate Bender's Big Score the best and Into the wild Green Yonder the worst. (Which, all things considered, is still pretty good)

Didn't realise it was out yet, or anywhere close to out. I'll have to go find it.

It isn't supposed to be out until Tuesday, according to the commercial. But yeah, the plan was always to make four movies, which could be broken up into like 4 episodes a piece and would be broadcast as season 5.

I didn't think the movies were as good as the show. The last two were not bad, but none of them ever touched the quality of the show itself.

I actually liked Bender's Big Score. Im a big fan of a show having continuity. Especially an animated comedy...I dunno to me it shows a sign of ...dedication I guess is the word I'm looking for...that said there were a lot of Futurama episodes that were better than Wild Green Yonder. In fact, they probably could have made the movie into a half hour episode and gotten a better reaction from me...

Just watched it. Don't ask how.

It was good. Really good. A spectacular ending, really, and I got chills more than once. It was better than Beast with a Billion Backs, but not quite as good as Bender's Big Score, and slightly better than Bender's Game.

Also, a song by Seth MacFarlane? Nice.

They have said they would not rule out more Futurama, too, so this may not be the end.

I thought, for it possibly being the last Futurama, that Nibbler would play a part in it. The whole "Fry saves the universe" bit is usually Nibbler's department. He wasn't even in it. Dont get me wrong I did like it...I was just hopeing for more I guess....

I kept thinking it would end up being Nibblonians and Brainspawn, but then it wasn't.

I was pretty much thinking the same thing

The whole part about the Dark Ones having an attack that Fry can resist because of his missing Delta Brainwave, made me think it was going to be the Brainspawn in the end. And in the flashback where the snake hopped on the toad's head made me think of Nibbler's third eye. Plus it was going to be about an epic battle spanning billions of years, and that's about the length of time the Nibblonians have fought the Brainspawn. And then it wasn't!

I just got done watching it, it was really boring. No where near as funny as the series usually is.

Yea, like they way the writers and whoever spoke about it in interviews (and even one of trailers for the movie) I thought pretty much everything that we discussed here was gonna be in the flick...and something about a big space battle I thought they said too. But there really wasn't too much of that at all.... :(

In all honesty I kept asking myself "Ugh, is it over yet?"
