Not as kick-ass as the first, but I'm still intrested in seeing the movie when it comes out.

Makes me wish the old thread was still here where we discussed this to death for like a week straight.

That was pretty neat, though TMNT hasn't seemed to be the same to me ever since they f***ed up Shredder in the newer cartoons by having him replace Krang as the robot body with a brain-like alien in his chest.

Well at least he wasn't a wuss like in the 80's toon always running away. No dumbass Bebop and Rocksteady. The 03 cartoon was a step up in every category.

That, honestly, had more to do with the story writing than the characters themselves. Personally, I had more to do with them via the video games than I did the show, & they seemed much more competent. I honestly think if they reintroduced Bebop & Rocksteady, they would actually be competent....or at least semi-competent....more than likely even badass instead of dumbass. Hell, Shredder was before they made him into a "Krang".

This may be a stupid question, but is this movie supposed to be in line with the old movies or the old cartoon or the new cartoon or one of the comic series????

The movie, follows the first movie in the fact that the Shredder is dead. Movie 2 and 3 never happened in this movies timeline.

Bingo, no Vanilla Ice, no Tokah, no Rahzar, no Kevin Nash as the Super Shredder.

And best of all, no Vanilla Ice.

& No Tokah or Rahzar also means no Frank Welker. :(

Well even if the second was in continuity you wouldn't hear Welker anyways since they were turned back into normal creatures.

I kinda miss the old VA's. Although I didn't much like Corey Feldman as Donnatello.....liked the 2nd movie Donatello much more. Spilnter too. Still, I would've liked it better if Shredder was the main villain in this movie, since he wasn't even killed in the first one......although we didn't know that until #2.......but isn't an apprentice of Shredder's supposed to be a villain in this one? IMO, Shredder is better, but I can live w/this.........although I will miss him as a villain.....unless there's a sequel that sticks to the 2nd movie that he's not dead........I'd like to see Super Shredder again.......

Karai, who is now leader of the foot is actually his daughter. So since this takes place after the first one and Shredder has been crushed by 10,000 pounds of force, I'd say she's probably gonna be pissed.

I bought the movie Turtle toys weeks ago (only the Turtles) and I am looking forward to the movie. Always dislike the live action ones so I am happy it's CGI this time.

Um, Krang is a robot with a dissembodied brain, The new Kickass Shredder is a Utron. Big differance.

I grew up with the 80's turtles myself, but after the comics and 2003 series, I have to say, I never want to see those two again, I prefered Hun, he atleast as a halfwitt, was imposing, and I believe we had Omages to Rocksteady and Bebop in 2003 already.

I myself cannot wait for the movie, I'll be buying the merch instead of the TF Movie ones. I am just counting down the days... 8)

& what is an Utron but an alien disembodied brain in a robot body???

& who says if they redid Bebop & Rocksteady they couldn't make them competent? I never said I wanted to see them redone brick for brick...I want to see them done better, & I think it's a shame they took such neat villan characters in the original cartoon & made them all stupid. I've always hated stupid villians in shows. They just don't make for good entertainment, unless their stupidity has a well thought-out purpose.

& what is an Utron but an alien disembodied brain in a robot body??? Too long to SayWhile Krang is a mutated dissembodied brain in a dumb looking robot body, 2003 is based on the comic, while original is very loosely based on the comics, Krang is based on the Utrom race. If memory serves correctly, it was one of the original authors ideas to retcon Oroku Saki into an Utrom. 2003 and Mirage comics are cannon, everything else is not.

Again, as I should have said before, the 80s cartoon isn't canon, they... never existed out of that universe.
