This past Saturday was free comic book day and at BSI comics in Metairie La the special guests were our local chapter of the 501st and the artist of the Ultra Magnus spotlight my good friend Robby “Rex 203” Musso.
Robby sketched pix for customers (he sketched my oldest daughter an excellent pix of Supergirl) and we entertained and took pix with the kids.

Indeed, FCBD was a good day. While I didn't take a lot of books (I missed out on the Peanuts books ), I loved the Spidey issue with Dan Slott & Phil Jimenez.

I wish my local area got that much into comics and such

No kidding. The closest place to me is in Oberlin. Which is 25 minutes away...And it's a bit to...Eh geeky even for me. They specialize in card games. There used to be another branch of the same place Called Matrix Games and Collectibles in Avon Lake right on Route 6. Seems like they closed though from lack of business.

my local store has free comic book day (may 5th) but we didn't hve anything like that. it was saturday so we were all in there playing M:TG and playing on the Mortal Kombat 2 arcade game

Getting sketches is awesome.
One of the shops I went to had
some girls dressed up like Batgirl and either Wonder Woman or Supergirl(sheesh it was only 2 days ago and I can't remember).
It was Hot!!
