Yeah, posted this in The Batman season thread. It'll be released with a couple other DC movies, Superman:Doomsday and a Teen Titans flick.

I really doubt they will be better then Iron Man and the Ultimate Avengers movies but I will give them a shot.

Well, when you think about it, DC has been one to really pride themselves with how **** looks. The animation is always really good.

However when I look at the Iron Man and UA movies, as good as they are story-wise, visually, they really lack. Especially when compared to another animated comic, Hellboy.

Isn't Bruce Timm involved in these? If so, I bet they will be awsome.

I don't think so. These direct-to-dvd films don't take place within the DC animated universe, just like The Batman, and Legion of Superheroes

Sure the animation will be killer, but I'd much rather watch a good story with shoddy animation then a horrible story with perfect animation.

In a perfect world we can have both.

But the world isn't perfect unfortunately

Well, I really haven't heard of a DC comic or TV show that didn't do badass when it came to story either.

Although the Superman: Brainiac movie was kinda lame.

I thought that two parrt of Superman vs Darkseid was lame.....

I thought that 2 part saga between Superman and Darkseid was lame, there wasnt all that much fighting in it, and it all showed that Darkseid's slaves, even when he got beaten, instead of revolting and escaping with their lives shown him their support. That was lame. And orion's father and his people didnt do anything to eliminate Darkseid when he was beaten.

I can't wait for Doomsday. Movie looks like it will be pure win. I'm not one to hang off of Timm's wang but it does seem like everything he's attached to, is done well.

More than can be said for Avi Arad. I swear that man just loves having his name on **** regardless of if it's good or not.

So, when's it due out, anyone know?

Gotta admit, I've never been a big DC fan. But I enjoyed Justice League, even though I never saw the end of Unlimted(saw up to when Braniac possessed Luthor. What a lame way to end a really cool arc!). Speaking of Unlimited, anyone got a screencap of the JL vs. Gamera?

Anyway, I saw the "trailer" for Superman: Doomsday, and it looks sweet! Sweet enough for me to consider maybe buying the Death, World Without, and Return of Superman Graphic Novels so I can read the story beforehand.

Its due out in sept.

The graphic novels are good, but a lot of outside elements that are in the novels won't be in the movie, just the core story

There's also the book, Death and Return of Superman, by Roger Stern. (Who was an Action Comics writer for a while) It has flashbacks to a lot of stories, specifically Man of Steel.

But I suppose I should still pick up some form of it's comic version.

The Book is probably closer to the storyline for the movie because the comic had green lantern, and supergirl, and the justice league and I think they are trimming the movie down to only focus on supes.
