Monsters vs Aliens nods, references, parodies
Posted: Mon Apr 20, 2009 1:39 pmI got to see the movie this weekend,and while I probably got the references to a few, I'm sure I missed many others.
So I'll list the ones I got, and someone can list whatever I may have missed.
Starting with the obvious ones:
Ginormica: Attack of the 50 foot Woman.
Bob: The Blob
Dr. Cockroach P.H.D.: The Fly
The Missing Link: Creature from the black Lagoon
Insectisaurus: Probably some obscure Godzilla monster for the first part of the movie. and Mothra (another Godzilla monster) for the end.
Gallaxar: no clue
Gallaxar's Robot Probe: partly Gort from "The Day the Earth Stood Still".
Mr. President's first Contact with the Probe: close encounters of the Third Kind, minus wrong note, and then Beverly Hills Cop.
It was a silly movie, but its good for a few laughs.
