Ok, call me a hypocrite, but for once I'm actually cheering for the Cavs to go all the way this year. I only ever watch basketball in play off season, well if the Cavs go to the play offs anyway. Its the only time its exciting for me.
The Cavs just won the third straight game against the Pistons and on Sunday they have a chance of getting a clean sweep.
Feel free to discuss anything play off related

HELL YEAH, Cavaliers! Man, the Magic lost last night to the 6ers again! I think Orlando is the only team to be a serious threat to Cleveland in the Eastern Conference this year. Unless Boston, who got lucky last year, pulls something out of their hemorrhoid-covered poopshooters, it will be the Magic and the Cavs in the Conference Finals...I think everyone wants to see LeBron vs. Kobe this year.
(BTW, congrats on 7000th post, bro!)

I didn't even notice that it was, thanks!
There are more people from around me then I thought

I love the NBA playoffs. We will see if the Cavs can take it all this year. Personally I think it's amazing how much they have improved from a dissapointing 2008 with only a few tweaks.
Same goes for Denver who on paper appeared to be worse than last year.
But I'm a Sixers fan and am really enjoying the 2-1 lead on a team that kicked our butts during the regular season.

Yeah, they added that missing person who can back up LeBron. Like Pippen was to Jordan in the 90s. LeBron has Mo Williams. Also, Andy and Boobie stepped up their game a bit. And Z is healthy and reliable as usual. He's my favorite player. I'd love to see them win the championship, because Z most of all deserves a ring for all the crap he's been through here.

Yeah, I hope they take out the Magic. You know they won't go the distance against the Cavs, unless something really good happens to them or something bad happens to the Cavs.

Whoa, Scottie Pippen? It's waaay too early for that comparison. Williams may have talked his way into the All-Star Game this year but he's got a long way to go to earn that status in my eyes. No doubt though that LeBron and him play very well together. I can never imagine Williams playing that well for the Bucks, even if he was there for another 5-10 years.
I don't know officially but I gotta think Ilgauskas is the longest tenured starting Center in the NBA and quite possibly, longest tenured starter period right now. I think Duncan came in the year after he did, if not it might have been the same year.

Oh, no I didn't mean to compare Mo to Pippen, of course Pippen is a much better player. I was saying that LeBron needed someone like that around him. He was missing that "2" in the 1-2 punch, if you get what I'm saying. They tried with Boozer and Gooden and Larry Hughes, but none of them worked out. No, of course Mo isn't as good as Pippen, I was saying in terms that having Pippen around made Michael Jordan all that much better.

Yeah, something like that. He's in his 12th or 13th year, I think...

My dad hit pause because someone came over and by the time he started it again I was already in bed(I had to wake up at 5AM). I was so happy when I woke up and went to nba.com and saw it was 4-0.
The Bulls/Celtics series seems entertaining though. A nail biter for sure. I'd rather the Bulls win then the Celtics though

Oh, yeah, that game was FUN! Double OT! I saw most of it (I kept switching between that and Talladega) but I was so happy when the Bulls pulled away at the end by 5 points. I hope the bulls win as well. But now, what do the Cavs do? Just sit and wait until the next round. I hope they don't get out of rhythm or rusty...

Seems to be an Eastern Conference dominance here...
Cavs are the team to beat, daylight second, then the Lakers a distant third.
I'm a Rockets fan from the old Hakeem the Dream days, so seeing the guys doing well in the first round has cheered me immensely.
Bulls vs. Celtics has been the most enjoyable series to watch (we only get a handful of NBA games aired each week here).

I must say the Playoffs have been very entertaining so far. I'm rooting for Miami, don't expect much from the team this time, but it's fun to watch Wade. They're in a battle now with the Hawks, and if they do make it past, I don't see em gettin any farther.

It would be fun to see Wade and Lebron go at it for a series though. So yeah, I think the Cavs are the team to beat in the East, if not the entire Playoffs. I'd like the Magic to make a run, unless they keep on sputtering.
Bulls-Celtics has just been intense and close the whole time. Ben Gordon is one of my favorite young players, and he has a team full of other young talent as well. They should be good for several years to come. The Celtics are still a good team, but I don't know how far they can make it without KG on the court. I don't think they can beat Cleveland. As for the West, Going for the Lakers here. And I do hope the Spurs get kicked out tonight. They're the most boring team in the league.
Finals pick: Lakers and Cavs. This has gotta be the series everyone wants. Kobe vs Lebron for the title? Major attention and money if that happens. But I'll be watching, still got a few more rounds to go!

So we have
- Rockets vs. Lakers
- Mavericks and Nuggets
- Cavs vs. Hawks
- Magic vs. Cetics
Cannot see the Rockets or Hawks getting past the top teams in the league, and I think Boston is in for another long series against the Magic. Not paid any attention to the Mavs or Nuggets in the playoffs so I have no idea who'll o through to playoff against the Lakers.

Magic held off a fast finishing Celtics, now to sit back and hope the Rockets don't get wiped off the floor.
-UPDATE-
Rockets 100-92 Lakers is not what I would call being wiped off the floor!
I guess that is bound to happen when you foul Yao everytime he attempts a shot, and he shoots 10/10 from the line. Plus when you only score 2/18 three pointers it aint going to be an easy night.
Now if only the Rockets could continue on...

Just as long as the Laker's don't make it to the finals I'm happy, well as long as the Cavs are the team from the East going

Man, the Celtics beat Orlando. I hope that series will go 7 games so they'll be worn out for the series against the Cavs. I'm expecting another sweep by the homeboys, BTW.

Kobe beat the Rockets tonight, but he is really going to need some help from his team-mates (if there are any of them left) if they want to stand a chance against the Cavs.
Fisher should be getting a one match ban for that idiotic foul. Never seen Yao so peeved either...

Yeah, and I don't think Artest should have been ejected either. he had a legitimate claim. He might have been a bit aggressive in making his case, though.

So while the Cavs and Nuggets rest up, the Magic and Celtics and Lakers and Rockets are going to game 7 in their perspective series.
So much for the Lakers sweeping through the West, whoever wins in the Lakers-Rockets series in the West will have a tough series against the Nuggets, who blitzed the Mavs.
