Just studying frantically for my AP American History Exam tomorrow-- wish me luck. I've heard it's awful.

I passed it in 2000

Good luck though! It is not that bad.

Naw, I'm too stupid to take AP tests. Really, I am. I got kicked out of AP World History this year. It was boring anyway, so I'm glad. Have fun w/the exam. My girlfriend has hers next Thursday.

Man, that takes me back.
If you take the time & effort to study, you shouldn't have a problem. I didn't... hence why I got a 1 on the test.
Good luck!

May I ask what the AP in AP Exam refers to / stans for?

Advanced Placement Exam.
Basically, you take a college level class in high school in place of a regular class.
So, if you were to have 11th grade English, you could replace it with an English 1000 level class from college.
At the end of the year, you take a fairly difficult test. If you pass, then you are awarded an equivilant amount of college credit.
It's a great program, students save money and schools make money for every passing student.

That does sound good, actually. I feel I've learnt something today.

Yeah-- the credit isn't accepted everywhere, but acing several of the exams usually says "Honors Student, times 5" on your transcript. Last year I had AP European History for my Social Studies requirement, which was a bummer work-wise-- around 40 pages to read and 12 pages of separate identification notes to type up a week--but the test was a cake walk.
...And I just got back from the exams-- studied all night last night, fell asleep on the couch downstairs, woke up at 4:00 in the AM, and studied some more. Took it from 8-12:00 noon. The test was easy, though. I have a feeling my teacher has been saying it was alot harder than the AP Euro just to get us to work harder, but it's understandable.

No exams for me this year!
Which makes a change since I had to miss the Brit TF convention Auto Assembly last year and the year before because of exams on the same day (Yeah exams on a Saturday, hoo-bloody-ray!).
So this year there's nothing stopping me from going, except that Auto Assembly has been cancelled this year.
Bollocks.
