Would you like some "special" brownies, officer?

Needless to say, having seen an episode of That 70's Show where this very thing happened to Red, Kitty, Bob, and Midge, and resulted in Red singing the Peter Cottontail song and selling Eric's Vista Cruiser, I couldn't help but chuckle a bit.

Steven Hyde would be so proud.

Yes what happened is horrible but this brought back fond memories of that episode.

You know, I wasn't that surprised to see that this happened in Dearborn.

Dearborn sucks.

The Councilman's assessment truly reflects the gravity of the situation:

"...that's bad. That's real bad."

Is that even possible?

EDIT: Ooh I just noticed this is post 500 I got a promotion!

What a **** moron. If he actually knew anything, he'd know that OD'ing on marijuana is physically impossible.

That aside, it is nice to see another reminder of how our law enforcement people are nothing but a gang of hypocrites. Enjoy the special treatment officer, because you've just lost more of another civilian's respect.

Not to mention the guy he busted is probably wasting away in jail right now. Gotta love that good ol' American justice. 8-|

This is exactly why I have zero respect for Law Enforcement anymore. Bunch of pussified whiners. What happened to all the real men in this country? Even the cops are a bunch of babies...

::Oh, and BTW, isn't stealing evidence a felony?

Our government is so warped. Let's put the pot smoker in prison but the guy that slashed his girlfriend and stole her car will get a fine and probation. Stupid. Marijuana could be such an amazing cash crop for this country. Yet it is outlawed and considered evil. Why because the pharmecutical industry would lose money and the government would lose kickbacks. I could go on and on. My senior thesis in college was about the legalization of marijuana and why our current form of government will never let it happen. They have used the power of propaganda and paranoia to steer people away. It is history folks check it out.

This man is a disgracement to the uniform.

I would also appreciate it if some of you would cut back on the slanderous stereotypes, I happen to be going to school to become a cop....

No problem, FB. Just don't become a pud, okay? 'Cause if I find out you're smoking the evidence, I'll reserve my right to make sladerous generalizations.

Besides, I think you'll find that most police nowadays work on generalizations. E.g.--"The guy is in a beat up car? Must be a criminal." :P

Yeah, I'm just picking on you guys. I know the corruption that goes on in the individual departments.

I've lived my life on the straight and narrow so far (never done anything illegal, well, at least nothing on purpose) and I plan to continue to lead an honest life as I pursue my career.

It just bothers me sometimes when a story like this comes out and automatically, every officer in the country is considered evil.
:-(

You'll just have to be the shining example that puts cops like him to shame. Officer Fender.... yeah that could work, be sure to tell us all if you get to be on cops!

It's possible to die from it, though. My friend's father used to smoke it and one day he smoked so much that it slowed his heart rate down and he died. So that could be considered an overdose.

Well, there were probably other factors involved, i.e. age, overall health, other drugs and/or alcohol, etc.

For a person to OD on pot, they would literally have to smoke about 4lbs of it in a 20min period. It would take that much to bring the THC content in the blood to deadly levels.

More so I considered him stupid because, if he is busting druggies/dealers, he is supposed to know the general effects of the drugs he is confiscating, what the classification is(hallucenagen, despressant, etc.), as well as the level of risk involved in taking the drug.

I could give him the benefit of the doubt, considering that the weed could have been laced with something(cocaine, PCP), but I would think that a trained officer would be able to spot those things.

I'm certainly not saying that there are no health risks involved, but a person would have to be pretty weak-minded for marijuana to screw them up like that. All he really needed to do was to have a beer, take a few deep breaths and calm down.

Exactly. Your friend’s father had other issues of which pot was the least of his concerns. Plus pot speeds up your heart rate, it does not slow it down.

Which is humanly impossible. One would die of lung and throat cancer before the actual pot would kill them.
