i just went to my first show yesterday friday and ended somewhere aroung 1:03am this morning.iam lil deaf cause i was up at front. had a great time. a radio station held it (area108) its a station here in las vegas. it was held at the hard rock casino in the joint.

Bands:
plain white t's
shiny toy guns
silversun pickups
they might be giants
the bravery

the bravery was the best!!

Like with NASCAR, the general rule is to bring earplugs to a concert. They set the stereos so high and distorted it makes it sound better besides.

Earplugs are for wusses!

Earplugs are for people who don't want to be deaf or have hearing problems when they get older. Doesn't make you a wuss just makes you smart. Between 3 years touring with Phish one year working on the stage crew for Rush and other various shows I have been to over the years I have learned that earplugs are definitly a good idea.

Bah. Earplugs aren't hardcore. It's not a gig unless you can't hear or speak properly when you leave at the end of the night.

Believe me-- you still can't-- it's just that you do it if you want to enjoy the same thing 10 years later.

Concerts are definitely part of my life, I don't wear earplugs either.

I go to a lot of shows, I consider it homework

I never heard of the other bands.

After I caused dome permanent damage to my left ear during a BILE show, I now wear earplugs. Or at least plan on wearing them. I forgot for the Gojira, Machine Head, Trivium, and lamb of god show. Man my ears wear ringing for like a week straight.
