the hottest band in the world...
KISShttp://www.myspace.com/kiss- New song posted there. I must say, unlike that trainwreck AC/DC, KISS has remained faithful to their unique style without using the same generic riffs over and over again. I can't stop listening to it.
The new album, entitled Sonic Boom, is being released in early October. I am so pumped.

I like listening to them, they were good in their prime. But they will never be as good as AC/DC. Never.

Hell yeah!!! Modern Day Delila rocks. Sonic Boom shall kick ass.
The CD will be Wallmart exclusive and come with the previously JP exclusive Re-Recorded Greatest Hits. It will also come with a live DVD from Brazil. Simmilar to AC/DC, Walmart will have T-shirts, and possibly more to sell in a "KISS Section"

AC/DC is one of those bands that every song sounds the same. Its aggravating. Sure, it was fun the first 439878974 times, but learn a new riff dammit.
Same reason I hate all those "Metalcore" and emo bands out there. Every riff, every chorus sounds the same. I start losing respect for bands who have to do the same thing over and over again.

Why?
They've got something that works. Just because YOU don't like it and have grown bored with it doesn't negate the few million worldwide who think otherwise.
Look at all the other bands who have kept the same style then decided to "try something different". How successful were they before they back pedalled?

I'm not saying to change their style, I'm saying use a different riff. Its aggravating the lack of imagination they are using. Does every song really need to sound the same?
I'm going to use Metallica for example(even though I don't like them), each of their cds was about the same style(until St Anger), yet no song sounded the same as another. AC/DC's songs all sound the same.

And clearly it works for them and has been highly successful for a number of DECADES.
So why change a working formula?

QFT. AC/DC has never let me down, even with their least popular albums. Trainwreck? I think not.
On the flipside, I've never been a fan of Kiss. Not in the slightest. I understand they're big and everything, but to put them up against AC/DC is no contest for me. AC/DC every time.

I listen to KISS
I listen to AC-DC
Personally I don't compare the two. AC-DC is about the music, regardless if you feel they all sound the same because funny enough, I can tell the difference between Thunderstruck, TNT or All Night Long without thinking about it.
KISS is about the show. Yes they have good songs but it's all about the full package. The Make-up, The Pyro, and even they fully admit it.
AC-DC rocks because they still want to rock, and damn I hope I have a fraction of Angus' energy when I hit his age.
KISS rocks because Gene has built an empire fueled by the need to keep the ARMY buying stuff.

Weird to see Gene having time to do this
If you watch Gene Simmons Family Jewels he is allways making buisness deal and hardly has time for other things
