Soul of Chogokin GX-38 Revealed!

And it's Iron Gears from Xabungle! He has been one of my favorite characters for a long time and it is finally nice to see him get the SOC treatment! It should be a big one based on the price.

Nice!
Can't wait for Daltanious or one of the others that ended up as a Godaikin, like GodMarz or Dynaman.

I think I had a small action figure version of GX-38. Not sure he transformed. Raideen is like a big historical milestone since he was the first transforming figure ever.

Nope Getter Robo is considered that since it debuted on April 4th 1974 where as Raideen came out in 1975. Also there was a transgforming robot toy back in the 50's or 60's, in turned from a radio or tv into a robot.

Getter Robo was made up of 3 aircraft that made a different robot depending on the order they combined....didn't you ever notice that there are always 3 different Getter Robos in each series?

Yeah I knew that but I never considered it a transformation, just part of the nature of Chogokin robots. The individual aircraft didn't Transform into robots did they?

No, but the idea of something or somethings turning from vehicle or vehicles to robot was originated by Getter Robo.

A lot of the 'chogokin' robots don't gattai - Mazinger & Great Mazinger being the most obvious examples, so it's not really in their nature.

Yea, but after Getter people thought it was real cool! Then of course Sentai came out and that was the norm.

I'll be honest most Chogokin robots that I've seen or own Gattai in some way or another. Can I just mention how freaking cool I feel being able to use the term Gattai on a regular basis. I think it's a way better term than Gestalt.

Looks like they're finally doing a Getter Robo that can properly Gattai. By the by I've yet to see a preorder for Raiden or GX-38. Should I be worried?

That Getter Robo is a rerelease, it doesn't combine, it's actually three seperate figures.
The only real combiner is the Studio Half Eye one at like $700!

For that kind of money it better combine its self! What's the articulation on it anyway? By the by, BBTS does have a pre-order up for GX-38. Should be here in time for the fall.
