This looks pretty cool. I'm not a Halo player so I only know the basic premise of the series of games. I'm a bit iffy on the style of character design, though. Something like the style used in Jin-Roh, The Wolf Brigade, could work well for Halo.

Oddly enough, I'm actually a huge fan of the novels, more than I am of the game. This anime really conveys the Halo novels, rather than the Halo gameplay, which I find pretty impressive. Like if the anime followed game.. would get pretty boring seeing Sparatans mow down Covenent with their assault rifles.

Okay, that was awesome. Are they going to do full series with this? Because I am on board 100%.

From what I gather about it online it's something along the lines of Animatrix and Batman Gotham knight, so it's a feature comprised of shorts by different animation companies.
I like this, I'm not interested in the games, or their story but I do like what I just saw, I'll be watching this.

Very cool. I like this approach to projects based on existing fictional characters. A sort of potluck approach is nice for variety and seeing how different creators put their own twist on the same fictional backdrop.

I actually prefer the story over the games. It's actually a really good story, despite what Halo 2 may have you believe. Which reminds me, I still have to finish Fall of Reach.

Yup. From Wiki: Microsoft announced at Comic-Con 2009 that it was overseeing production of a series of seven short anime films, together called Halo Legends. Financed by 343 Industries, the animation was created by five Japanese production houses: Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G., Studio 4°C, and Toei Animation. Shinji Aramaki, creator and director of Appleseed and Appleseed Ex Machina, serves as the project's creative director. Warner Bros. will distribute Legends on DVD and Blu-ray in early 2010, Six of the stories are officially part of the Halo canon, with the seventh, made by Toei, is intended to be a parody of the universe.
