Ebay...good for buying Rims?

Hi
I want to buy some rims for my new car within the next few months and have seen some good deals on Ebay.
My question is whether Ebay is good for buying Rims? I'm worried about spending over $500 on Rims and then not being able to put them on my car. Has anyone on Seibertron ever bought Rims off Ebay?

My thinking on the matter, not being a car guy at all, is to stay away from ebay on things like that, which is probably why they're so cheap.

Something like that should be sized and fitted for your car in person so you can guarentee they'll work before forking over the dough.

With Paypal, aren't you protected within 45 days?

It's fine, just make sure their feedback is high and they have a large stock listed. To be honest though, most of the wheels on ebay for around that price are not high quality.

Paypal protects you if the product you purchase does not work at all, but if you buy something that their is size or other facts that differ, then there is nothing they can do about it. IMO, this is a very high "buyer beware" situation.

Thanks for the input. Sounds like I'd be better off staying away from Ebay.
