Damn, these model guys are crazy. Building scaled and working models over here is a pretty big and respected hobby, but so very expensive. That turbine he used in that thing costs a small fortune and the rest of the plane is most probably also scratch build, using model kits is a little frowned upon if you want to make something like that.

I also find it hilarious that the guy who posted it is Japanese and every body congratulated him for the model while the video is German. :lol:

Wow, now that's one impressive RC model! The sounds it emits...so awesome, especially when it's prepping for take-off and when it does passes over the camera person.

It still amazes me that the SR-71 Blackbird is still as popular today as it was when it was first revealed to the public - especially since it's no longer flying.
