I don't know if we are allowed to discuss politics or anything. But it said we could on the little paragraph for the forum.

Anyway I honestly don't believe the President "entirely" runs the U.S. He may have to pass decisions but making or really passing them is Congress. In my eyes the President is just a puppet. Whilst the fat liberals in Congress control him. Even some people may call me stupid and phsycotic for thinking that. But I just believe I can see the strings and they can't. I would like yall's opinion on it. Please though don't troll or flame. I have done it before on other sites. And it got me banned. So let's keep this topic on topic. :)

This is the way I see it, just one example how he's not in control...

The world needs alternative fuels.

Those in control of fuels are pretty damn rich.

President needs money to fund their campaign, so they go to these rich folks and ask for money.

Rich fuel-people only give money to anyone willing to support them, why would they give it to people who want alternative fuels and who'll put them out of business?

The candidates are then already selected from the rich, wealthy and powerful, with the average person left to ultimately choose between two people whose policies, coincidentally, don't actually jeopardise those who helped them. And we, in this case, don't see alternative fuels.

Its rigged. And if those presidents step out of line with any of their funders, they just cut off the money. Puppet strings indeed.

Yes I agree with that 100% it may contridict my opinion. Buy then I am merely a 13 year old kid. Also oil is one of most primary concersons. Hell even weapons. We dug our own grave just adding one spark to a forest with sending weapons when we feared the U.S.S.R. But like I say every all and war is about power. So really Bin laden had the weapons we gave him. So why not retaliate when you have the "Skills".

The Congress needs the President to pass laws.
The thing is, the President has 1/3 of the power political power, the Senate has 1/3 and the House of Representatives has 1/3 of the power (last two form the Congress) every part of you governments body has it's own function and powers. Before a law can be made a law it has to pass through all tree of those bodies and has to be approved by all of them. Only if everybody (or the majority) are of the same opinion will action be taken, that's called a democracy if the President had all the power it would be a dictatorship.

That to me is the "right/liberal and what they want you to believe" view on that. Sure they each have a "equal" power. But I believe in dirty politics. These congressman sure try to look like heroes. But behind closed doors these men would just give millions/billions of dollars away. And say "Oh we can just raise Taxes". They really would just get money from us. And still try to say it's the right thing.

Yea, you got in trouble on other sites for having no basic understanding of civics or how the US government is actually run.

No, the President does not "Run" the US.

Executive Branch...look it up.

Legislative Branch...look it up.

Judicial Branch...look it up.

Come armed with at least a partial understanding of governement before ever starting one of these topics again.

Also, please read up on why groups are called "liberal" and "conservative" and how those terms are supposed to be applied towards economic policy and little else.

Locked on account of faulty premise and as such being absolutely unable to be 'on topic'.
