Would they do that? I know little of the show. Isnt it similar to GI Joe?

I think what really need is a MASK movie, as far as anyone is concerned that show is horribly underrated and it needs to be brought back to life as a movie.

M.A.S.K was one of those iconic Cartoons and toy-lines that is completely underrated. The first 2 seasons were pretty good and the Toy line was really full of cool vehicles.

With no show for the Split Seconds series of figures, and a lame gimmick that produced bad toys, it kinda withered away and died.

It was halfway in between GI-Joe and Transformers. The Vehicles transformed into Alternate armored up battle ready modes.

It was Originally a Kenner line. But I'd be all for a toy Live action Movie and a new toy line to go with it.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's Sixth Day was a name change away from being MASK: The movie.

It had the Chopper that turned into a Jet (Switchblade), The black SUV(Jackhammer), 57 Chevy(Hurricane)
The bad guys where dead ringers for Vanessa Warfield, Floyd Malloy, Sly Rax.

With the clone deal nodding towards the Split seconds series.

I'd love to see them bring it back. I'm guessing Specialist Trakker in the G.I. Joe line was either a really big fan wank from them or they were testing the waters, see how well a rebirth MASK line would work.

I'd pick it all up in a second. As long as they give us some classic vehicles.

Red 1983 Camaro/Fighter Jet (Thunderhawk)
Maroon Peterbuilt Semi truck/Base, Tank (Rhino).
Blue Copter/Jet (Switchblade)
Purple Nissan/Jet 300ZX (Manta).

Everything we have heard so far from Hasbro is that it is a fan wank, err, nod to fans.

The secondary reason clearly was to state Hasbro's control of the property as part of their control of former Kenner products.

It's strange because that figure was the reason I got into collecting the 25th line, and vehicles or not I would buy more characters if they put them out.

I do hope that as they have firmly stated on his Bio-Card that they have retroactively turned VENOM into a subfaction of COBRA rather than their own organization that we do get more characters in the next line of classics we should get between Pursuit of Cobra and the second movie line. that said I would buy Inhumaniods characters if they were added to the line.

I do like that fact they set it up that while MASK works with GIJoe that they are still a separate civilian operation and by making VENOM a part of COBRA, I can easily see Miles fitting in well with the other main members of Cobra Command.

Exactly. The cobra SUV in the live action film totally reminded me of M.A.S.K. It could defintely work.

Never heard of that film till just now, I might have to look for it on TV or DVD.

Its a fun movie. It was either the second to last or third to last movie he made before going into Politics.

Its a fun ride where you get to see 2 Arnie's. Yup 2 of them, duke it out against the usually dumb asd a doornail bad guys.

The choppers/jets are really cool CGI. Now don't expect the rest of the vehicles to show battle modes unfortunately. Its just the fact they are there that makes it interesting.
Its actually a lot of fun. Co-stars Robert Duvall, Michael Rooker and Michael Rapaport.

Personally I just think the MASK bit is just similarities, and not enough to call it a MASK based movie, that said it's a godd shut your brain off and watch movie.

Most of it was filmed here (like half a million other things) so it's always fun to watch Arnie blow up a library. :APPLAUSE:

The similarities are just too many to ignore.

I still think they where planning a MASK movie, but maybe lost the rights to them when Hasbro bought Kenner. So they had to re-adapt what they had already to another movie.

Which worked out pretty nicely if you ask me.

Still I'd like to see the Brand be reborn through a movie If only to get new vehicles and figures.

Personally I would rather see a Robotix revival than a M.A.S.K., revival. Robotix would very easily fit into the Transformers: Generation 1 Universe.

Not sure about Robotnix, but if you mean Robotix, I wouldn't mind seeing a revival of the storyline, but the toys themselves have never left production. They just transferred into an educational toy as seen here.
