Anyone else miss Beavis and Butthead?

Those two idiots used to really make me laugh, especially when they were making fun of music videos. I wish Mike Judge would bring them back. I never liked "King of the Hill", though. I always thought it was a poor man's Simpsons.

I never liked King of the Hill either.

As for Beavis and Butt-head, yeah, I miss them, but I also think if they were still around, we'd be sick of them. I think I watched a few episodes sometime last year and got bored more quickly than when they were on. I could watch them again and give them another shot. The movie was good, though. I miss the books, though. I have to dig them up. Can't remember where they are.

King of the Hill is far superior to Beavis and Butthead...

Agreed, but it did get tiresome after about the 5th year or so. I've actually seen B&B on MTV (or was it on VH1) from time to time recently. Never really liked the show but loved the movie.

I'd love to see Beavis and Butthead crossovers like B&B goes to Arlen (King of the Hill) or B&B goes to South Park.

"Oh my God! They killed Kenny!" "You Bastards!"
Butthead: That was the coolest thing I've ever seen.
Beavis: Yea, that rocked!

Mr. Macky: Marigawana's bad, M'kay!
Butthead: Uh, No it's not.
Beavis: Mariquana kicks ass!
Butthead: Yea, you suck!

Cartman: Respect my authorta!
Butthead: Ah, who's the fat kid?
Cartman: Hey, I'm not fat, I'm big boned.

I hated Bevis and Butthead when it was originally on MTV. But these days, it cracks me up like few other programs have ever done. Yes, I miss them a lot.

What do you think were the funniest of their music video "critiques"? Personally, I thought their critiques of "Rise" by Public Image Limited, "I Alone" by Live, and "No More I Love Yous" by Annie Lennox were hilarious.

I was just trying to explain to my girlfriend the episode where they cut their hair and glued it on their faces becuase they saw some commerical wherein a guy with a beard was surrounded by girls and remarked "Damn I'm smooth." So they sat there with hair glued to their faces saying "Damn we're smooth" for seven minutes.

Hysterical.

Oh I miss Beavis & Butthead badly. I'm glad I have the show on DVD. I even have the movie. Still makes me chuckle like a crazed buffoon after all these years.

When I was a kid, I couldn't stand their critiques of music videos, simply because I wanted to see the vid without any interruptions. Now, I love their critiques and see the genius in it.

I think my absolute favorite of their critiques is Sabotage by Beastie Boys.

Absolutely hilarious.

Today's cartoons don't have the same humor, though I must give Robot Chicken credit for having them in a skit. Made me miss the old days terribly.

I can understand Mike Judge wanting to try other options, but to completely end them was just stupid. I think not revisiting them is even dumber than that.

King Of The Hill is considered to be superior because it could reach a wider audience without raising too many eyebrows, whereas B&B were definitely controversial at times.

That doesn't make it a superior show, however. I never found KOTH to be funny at all. I don't care how popular it had become, it just wasn't funny.

To those of you who did enjoy it, more power to you. I'm just not one of those people.

And after seeing Judge's forays into live action directing...I'm even less impressed with his offerings. Office Space bored me to tears when I watched it the first time. (Later viewings proved to be far funnier once I had experienced some of what the characters went through, in my personal life)

Idiocracy had it's moments, but it wasn't a memorable film, and past a certain point...it's message was being delivered to you like a blunt instrument.

Extract...was just terrible. There was no comedy, no joy, just real life. Big whoop. I can see that by reading the news, watching reality TV, etc. I was hoping he'd take the material (real life) and satirize the crap out of it, but no. He took a boatload of promise and let it sink.

Beavis & Butthead were his best creation. He should really consider giving us another chance to see them.

From my understanding the 3 boxsets do not consist of the entire series. Unless wiki is wrong. And also according to wiki alot of the music video ratings they do are not on the sets as well. Which is why i have held back on purchasing the 3 sets

I really wish they had included the music video critiques when they released the series on DVD. But from what I've heard, there were copyright issues.
