Interesting.

A series based on Resolute perhaps?

For the lazy.

Moonbase2 conducted a podcast interview with Michael Bell who was the voice of Duke and among others in the original G.I. Joe cartoon series in the 1980's. During the interview, Michael dropped a bomb that he has auditioned for the voice of 'General Hawk' for a brand new 26 episode run of G.I. Joe. No other information was given about the show or any other characters so we will have to wait and see what Hasbro may soon tell us. You can download the podcast MP3 at the link above and the information can be heard at the 25:15 mark.

Michael Bell also goes on to mention what it was like doing the G.I. Joe: The Animation movie, working with other people and how he felt about the G.I. Joe: The Rise Of Cobra movie.

Please o Please let this be more themed more like Resolute. I need some actual death and bullets that actually hit their marks now, not lasers blasts firing everywhere and everyone getting away without so much as a scratch.

Growing up watching the original GI Joe shows, going back and watching them now kind of leaves a sour taste in my mouth.

:BOT: Oh man... this could rock!

Now I kinda wish someone would release the rest of the GI Joe cartoons on DVD (DiC, Sgt. Savage even if it's one episode, and Extreme) :CON:

Please can they be ALL-AMERICAN and PROUD OF IT? Not this global integrated poopoo caca. I'm not an American and even I can't stand this PC copout crap.

Actually, Resolute was just as biased in sharing wounds like the original. In the big fights, the Cobra troops still fired to everywhere but their target, while only the Joes hit their enemies. If it could be like the SW: Clone Wars series, where droids and clones die alike, it'll be perfect.

Back-stop would like to dispute the All-American bit.

Seriously thou, Making the team international does have benefits:
First off, and especially in the age after Bush the Junior, surprise, surprise, but not everyone is keen of the idea of an American only special forces group running around the world.
Second, for those who remember far enough back, when ARAH first started the Joes were 'reassigned' as required:
Scarlett can be from Atlanta, Georgia, Grande Prairie, Alberta or even Bruges, Belgium with a possibility of being from Interlaken, Switzerland. switching them up to international figures increases their ability to sell to other markets.
