Kotaku wrote:It's Tokyo's geek mecca — Akihabara. Games shops, arcades, manga, anime, figurines and maid cafes. You name it, they just might have it. A Japanese TV program gave filmmaker Michael Moore a tour.
The above image has a Japanese subtitle of the director offering this insight: "Lots of unnecessary things are being sold here."
He also noted, "Shopping may brighten the spirits, but they're just fooling themselves." Yes, fooling themselves by buying plastic models of giant robots.
When Moore visited a maid cafe and got the standard "Welcome master" greeting from the maids, Moore replied, "I'm not your master! Everybody's equal." Not in a maid cafe, Michael Moore!
Good thing nobody told Moore that maids charge otaku 500 yen ($5.50) to play paper-rock-scissors, right?

http://kotaku.com/5428562/michael-moore ... -akihabaraI...I think I love this story. It's perfect in every way perfect is perfect. I want to show him my toy room and horrify him into a coma.
No, but seriously...where to even begin with this.
I know. I totally freakin' know.
Photoshop contest! Let's go seibertron! Make a meme out of that picture to disapprove of our wasteful lifestyle. go go go.

He needs to get on a treadmill.
I have never subscribed to his opinions or really anything that he says.
He is irrelevant in my life so what he says means nothing to me..
He would **** a brick factory if he walked in my house..
From Transformers, Gi Joes, DCUC to vinyl Godzilla toys make their home in my house..
I can't wait to buy more either!!

Note to CB: Don't ever invite me to your house. I'm pretty sure the puddle of drool I would leave would damage your floors.
Yeah, Michael Moore really lost me with, well...everything. But a rich guy who's basically lived the American Dream turning around and pooping on the capitalist system that he profits by? Hypocrisy much?
HK, unrepentant capitalist.

I think there is some truth in how some people go to an outlet like shopping to make themselves feel better but without long lasting satisfaction.
On the other hand, I like plastic models of giant robots.
Heck, I like giant robots.

1:1 scale.
Suck on that, Michael Moore.(I don't care one way or another about Michael Moore, I just wanted to type "suck on that".)

Shallow pursuits are made even more delicious when someone points out just how shallow they really are. Like I don't know.

If you've seen the original it's actually remotely funny.

New Zealand had a former prime minster called Mike Moore, he then ended up the head of the international bank or something.
Regardless, complainly Moore, well, I have no care for him and his self-righteous tootling.
I mean, really, I'm happy with my plastic toys, he's obviously very happy with his deep fried twinkies.

And here is a guy that has made millions of dollars by making unnecessary movies. Irony.

It's strange because when he started, he was in the right, questioning the choices made that effected the people of his home town.
Then with a few of his features he has brought up interesting and good points that most of the western world does question about America, (I'm not going to debate gun ownership but a bank giving them away????) but he losses any credibility as a filmmaker when he does silly stunts that you know won't effect anything but add an entertainment factor to his films. (I can't in all honesty call them Documentarys)
As for Photoshoping, had I had the resources here I'd just:
Crop the 7:43 image
screen capture a wide view from your collection
paste in
?????
profit
