an amazing-and hilarious storyline, great actors, just wow.

a hilarious kung fu/ comedy that has jack black? sign me up!

Brue willis in a comedy. nuff said.

6.Monsters Inc.
i dont think i need to say anything here.

5:finding nemo
insperational and sensational in every way. though not as funny as others, it is the best fish movie since Jaws

4:UP
10 films, all great. this one was one of the best! *

3: the Lion king
a beutiful story, well animated. my only complaint is that mufasa's voice was too deep.*

the best disney film ever, period.*

ok, i lied, THIS is the best disney film. though a bit far-fetched,a greaat scifi story on all fronts, and it has a robot pirate! *

Well he's just making a topic based on his animation viewing experience. As long as the mods don't see any problems, he can make whatever topic he wants. He doesn't need to watch work by Miyazaki and Tezuka in order to put up a list of his top 10 animated movies.

What you need to do is put up your own list and explanations if you disagree with Gravemind's list.

i dont watch much anime (however it's spelled)anyway, so i dont even know what that is.

No Toy Story? or The Incredibles?

No Mickey Mouse in Runaway Brain? I think it deserves a top spot.

Everyone says Up is a really good movie. I guess I will have to redbox it.

^^^^it is, and buy it, blu-ray if you please. though i warn you, first 20 mins. are really sad.

10. Madagascar
Not the 2nd one. First had a good plot, good actors, and one of the most funniest animated characters I've seen(King Julien).

9. Shark Tale
It had good plot, good actors. Really think they should make a sequel.

8. The Incredibles
It had a cool plot, ok voice actors, and awesome ending fight.

7. Up
It had a good plot, good voice actors, and nice ending.

6. The Lion King
One of the best musical scores ever, good plot, animation.

5. Over the Hedge
I loved the comic and I loved the movie. Bruce Willis is an awesome actor.

4. Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs
Good plot, good animation. An CGI cartoon with Dinosaurs. Nuff said.

3. Lilo and Stitch
It had a wonderful plot, good effects, and hilarious moments.

Really funny for adults and kids alike.

- a little short movie, but still good.

- Well written animated sci-fi

Why the hell does every one like Wall-E? Thats the biggest peice of **** movie I have ever seen in my life! It was boring as hell! It wasnt funny, exciting, or enjoyable for me. But here are my top 10! Its not really in any particular order, just know that the ones closest to the top, I like better than the ones towards the bottom.

No love for Nightmare Before Christmas?

In no particular order, except #1 on my list...

Monsters Inc.
Osamu Tezuka's Metropolis
#1 for me...Ponyo. (Knocked my socks off.)

UP didn't do it for me, really. It was beautifully animated and really stands out in HD, but it just wasn't what I was hoping for. And yes, the first 20 minutes are just a sucker punch to the heart, kidneys, and gut. But definitely the heart.

I sobbed like someone kicked my puppy when he finally got the house to the mountain. Which just added to the crying I did earlier in the film. I mean, when it finally hit me, I was gone.

But Ponyo...oh what a treat. A great film and just overflowing with charm.

As for other animated films, I'm not that big of a fan, really.

UP made me cry like a tiny, tiny, tiny girl child. Then, when the movie was over, my girlfriend pointed out in an indoor speaking voice that I was crying, and that made me cry even more becuase now I had to navigate my way out of the crowded theatre and the best thing to do would have been to stop crying, but when I needed to exercise that power, I could not.


The Lion King is my favorite animated movie of all time. WALL-E was great too. WALL-E was way better than I had been expecting or thinking it would be.

Sounds like an ROTF argument we've been having. Just like WALL-E or ROTF or anything else, it just comes down to taste, I guess.

Up is probably the best. It has been the only animated movie to make me feel sad.... Which is weird because I am an emotionless Decepticon from the world of Transformers that peers into this world with the power of Shockwaves new device.... I am not lying....
