The new teaser trailer for the Clone Wars 3D animated tv series is online now at StarWars.com, and I have to say that it looks incredible.

Love the look of the clones, the return of a meaner Asajj Ventress, and the sheer amount of action it appears we will see in 2008. I think I read somewhere that there was going to be at least 100 episodes?

After seeing the trailer, I am almost as excited for this as I was when ROTS was being released in the theater.

Check it out -

Wow.

This looks like it's based on the Dark Horse comics. Am I right in thinking that?

I think I had a Joygasm.

So Asajj Ventress is in it? Then we can assume it's in Volume 1, unless she cheated death somehow. And she's using a Saberstaff! All the cool kids (Maul) use saberstaffs.

I can't wait to see General Grievous and Asajj fight alongside eachother.

Nice.
I just wonder how interesting the story will be for those that know nothing of any additional fluff that has not been shown in any of the previous movies.

HUBRIS im wondering if Tartosky had anything to do with this If not I think Lucas is trying to rip him off. Is he trying to make a better Clone Wars cartoon or what because for the most part this has been done already and done better then ALL the prequel movies. If this is on free TV I'll see otherwise I need to know more.

Honestly, I found the Criss Angel ad on the side of the page more intriguing then the actual trailer.

Mauls saber is a doubled bladed saber, not a staff. Given it was meant to come apart and be two sabers if need be.

A light staff Like Darth Nihl's has only one blade with a very long handle, almost like a light spear.
If you check out the pics in this link you'll see what I men.

So im not really sure where the "cool" kids got the staff thing from, but they are totally wrong.

And on topic....

I believe this is after the original clone wars shows and deal more with the graphic novels, which is sweet.

It looks great, just wish they would have had some more original voices from the movies in it.

Click on the link and don't click on anything else. Give it a few seconds and it should load for you.

Looks like it comes out of a video game.

And it does look like it's being done in the Tartosky style of artwork.

I like Star Wars, I just found it boring and the animation wasn't that good.

Your lucky I like you...and I never see you on AIM anymore, what's up with that?

It did looks like a PS2 Cutscene.

'HERE THEY COME...'

And what? 5 normal droids? And one of the clones STILL gets taken down? Pathetic. Obviously this series features clones who're developing Stormtrooper syndrome.

And it would seem the 'Droid/Jedi Wars with clones in the background' are still running riot. Grr.
