I had an auction on Ebay that just ended, that specifically said that I DO NOT ship outside the United States. Then someone from Malaysia asked me how much to ship there... I replied that don't ship outside the United States and posted the Question & Answer on the auction so everyone could see... Now there are 2 different spots on the auction that says that I DON'T...

Last second of the auction, someone from Malaysia bids and wins the auction. The only reason I don't ship outside the U.S. is because I never have and don't know how it works and I've heard horror stories...

Is shipping to Malaysia much different than shipping within the U.S. I know there will be a different shipping label and I guess insurance, not to mention cost of shipping... What I want to know is, is it easy enough to ship to Malaysia and I should just go ahead and send the invoice to him with a new shipping cost or should I contact Ebay Support and cancel it out and give a 2nd chance to the bidder below him...

What are your thoughts and suggestions? I need answers ASAP Thanx!

I'd cancel his bid and potentially file a complaint if he gives you grief.

As CP stated I would cacel his bid and offer second chance to next highest bidder

There is an option when create your listing to block users from areas you dont ship to. Select this option and no more worries ;)

The thing is... I don't mind going ahead and shippng to him, but only if trying to ship to Malaysia isn't difficult... you know, simple like it is to ship within the U.S.

From my experiences from shipping out of the country, you have to fill out a customs form and the only way of tracking the package is through registered mail and that makes it expensive. Now this is using the USPS so I'm not sure about UPS or Fedex.

For example: The last package I sent to Australia it cost 8.00 first class mail but was an extra 11.00 to do registered mail.
