Oh yes. Saw it in #D last night on the reel for Alice in Wonderland. So stoked for Tron Legacy!

Me Like, me very very like.
I still haven't seen the entire first one yet, so I can't tell, is this a reboot or a sequel? Reboots are popular nowadays, it seems like a sequel though

To a movie made almost 30 years ago! I would say that is the record but hell it took Disney over 50 years to make Peter Pan 2!

Yeah, but the difference is that Peter Pan 2, like many Disney sequels, shouldn't have existed.

I watched Tron for the first time. It's probably sad that the only things I knew about Tron were from Disneyland's The People Mover and Kingdom Hearts II. Pretty slow at parts but I kinda dug it for what it is.

That said, the trailer looks amazing. Looking forward to it.

And in related news Oliver Stone is making Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps with Micheal Douglas and Shia LeBeuf.

This looks awesome! I loved Tron when I was little, I got it from the library all the time (ah, the VHS days....). It looks like they're trying hard to link back to the first film, which is always welcome. I'm thrilled to see that Flynn's will be back.

Now I want to watch my DVD. Wonder if I can talk my wife into it.....?

:BLACKEYE: I don't think I've ever watched anything he's been in that I've enjoyed.
He's crap at funny and even worse at serious.

I'm apprehensive about this movie - in much the same way as I was about the new Transformers movie (07). I hope I'm not dissapointed anywhere near the level I was with TF07. The problem I have with the trailers so far is the "cool-young-irreverent-kid-hero-type-with-splash-of-comedy" thing going on - it didn't amuse me when I was six, and it certainly doesn't now. Tron was cool because the characters were adults and things weren't treated by the characters in a comical way - the movie, more often than not seemed to be more a vessel for spiritual commentary. I really don't want that element to be lacking.

I don't think Shia is in Tron: Legacy (I don't know because I don't pay attention to Hollywood all that much) but he is in Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps.

The main character in Tron Legacy is supposed to be 27, which makes him an adult.

I know that. I wouldn't be seeing the film at all if he were.

You must admit, though - the trailer for Tron2 makes the effects out to be very pretty, but has also succeeded in it just looking like another action movie - which Tron 1 wasn't. It was more an adventure movie and had heavy amounts of brilliant dialogue. The trailer fails to impress me. =;

Yes, but Cyberstrike said he didn't, and I was clarifying.

Well, for starters, it's just a trailer. Don't judge the whole movie based on only two minutes without any sort of context.
