The BATTLE BEASTS topic

Anyone else here collect Battle Beasts? I've been making a pretty decent dent in my collection. I'm only missing 10 of the original 76.

I have not yet started to collect the Laser Beasts, though I'm sure I'll turn my attention to them soon. Their prices are all over the board so I'm trying to get a feel for how much I should spend on them. Looks like around $20 to $40 a piece.

I like these little guys. I was never into them as a kid. As an adult, with their ties to the world of the Transformers, I have to say they're quite fun to collect.

Always thought they were nifty but never actually got any. Regretted not having any once I learned they had TF connections in Japan.

This is what I'm currently missing ...

AUTOBOTS
-----------------------------
#02 Big Serow / Deer Stalker
#19 Hedgehog / Prickly Porcupine
#32 Stronghippo / Humongous Hippo
#51 Bullorn / Bludgeonly Bulldog
#61 Dog Hunter / Pixilated Pointer
#62 Bupink / Pillager Pig
#63 Razorkukku / Rowdy Rooster
#64 Musk-Horn / Musky Ox
#67 Earthhog / Ardent Aardvark

DECEPTICONS
-----------------------------
#65 Pangol / Tanglin' Pangolin

BATTLE CHARIOTS
-----------------------------
Battling Big Horn
Battling Deer Stalker
Battling Tearin' Tiger

BATTLE BASES
-----------------------------
Red Phoenix
Shocking Shark
Wood Beetle

I'm looking for cheap vehicles and bases ... having a problem with that so far so I'm least worried about those. I haven't started looking into the Laser Beasts yet but I'm sure I'll start picking away at them sooner than later once I get the regular Battle Beasts completed.

I had a TON of them as a kid. :D I even had the belt! How much do they sell for these days? My old collection was tossed many years ago. One my parents liked to clean house from time to time, and the only toy lines that survived were my Transformers and GI Joes.

Man, I wish I still had my Battle Beasts... and Ninja Turtles...

The regular Battle Beasts sell for anywhere from $5 to $15 it seems, ~$25 - $65 for MIB Japanese ones. Laser Beasts range anywhere from $20 to $40 on average it seems, with crazy BIN for $200+ MIB.

I don't see them round these parts often (only seen a few in the last couple years), but if I see any I keep it in mind you are looking for those.

That's not so bad! I might have to take up Battle Beasts collecting.

I have a whole bag of them around somewhere, most are in rough condition and I'm unsure if the weapons match up or not.

I picked up the lot for lik3 $5 in a comic shop. I suppose I can once again bring them to BotCon and see if anyone is interested.

If we can work out something fair, I'd be interested for sure.

I gotta whole box of them, including 2 of the tanks (last time i checked). Nah, not sellin'm. When i finally breakdown and buy a display case, they're gonna have their own shelf.

But yeah, i got curious and looked on ebay and it seemed like around $5 a piece. I've got alot of series 2 and 3, if not complete. Also, just as a reference in Gi Joe vs Transfomers Black Horizon, when Cosmos and that other dude go flyin into Unicron, theres a few Battle Beasts inside him as slave labor. I thought that was a pretty cool reference. lol

I had this beetle tank thing when I was a kid, and probably four of the little creatures. Weren't the marketed as being like a rock-paper-scissors type action figure game in the US? I remember the commercials screaming at my that fire beats wood.

On a side note, whatever happened to the whole Battle Beasts Gambling thing that Seibertron had a while back? I remember once I won like 200 points at that thing. Man, that was the greatest accomplishment of my entire life.

I've got an interest in Battle Beasts, especially the playsets and chariots that were made. I've always appreciated the Beast Era of Transformers, and although Battle Beasts are somewhat unrelated, I think the weapons and other features are a great part to what makes the figures unique.

I think we need a Battle Beasts vs Transformers comic book crossover series.

I had quite a few when I was little. I LOVED those guys! I got one pack of Lasers: Blue Eagle, Spark Shark, and Anarchy. Anarchy was one of my favorites. :-)

They got used as tub toys at least a couple times. Most are in pretty good condition with weapons. A few missing rub signs and seapons though....

I just got them back from my parent's place a little while ago and I haven't had a chance to check them over or give them shelf space yet. Maybe I can get some pics up eventually....

Finally got all 76! PlanetBeast.com is looking more and more like one of the next sites I'll start working on toward the end of this year.

LOVE Battle Beasts. As much(if not a little more than TF). Still got a bunch from when I was a kid(missing the weapons, with the majority of my TFs in Baton Rouge, to be retrieved in December) and started buying them again on eBay. They're displayed with my TFs, natch.
