I thought this to be a fun little thing and discuss things (talents, activities, ect..)that we do in real life that would surprise your fellow board members.

One thing about me that not many here know, I sing on praise team at our church (one of the larger churches in Metairie {close to New Orleans}).We have a soprano, alto and I am one of the 2 tenors that revolve on a week to week basis. I also sing in the choir when I am not singing on PT.

Well, nothing too fascinating.

I'm a Mechanical Engineer, and I make parts for Toyota. No, not gas pedals...

Oh, I'm a huge Three Stooges fan!

I am an amateur-ish occultist. Been doing if for some 25 yrs, but no formal training in the field, other than those years in the field. I also collect religious relics from all major religions (and some not-so-major ones as well).

Holy crap! Me too!

I've moved off the trumpet in favour of the Euphonium though, far more seats open to euph players in the city

I'm a 30 year old, unemployed, diabetic that drinks a little too much.

I used to manage a pet store, but was let go a few years ago. Karma has a funnt way of making up for things though. The store manager that acually fired me didn't last much longer, she now stocks shelves in a hardware store.

I still deal with a few anger issues with the pet store though. A certain finger rises from my hand every time I drive past it.

Once I hit high school they moved me onto Euphonium because there were enough trumpets, but I still think part of the reason was because I was the fat guy.

Hopefully within a month i'll have my Euphonium back that I got off E-Bay. 1922 Boosey & Hawkes, it's been in getting restored and the guy has been dicking around for about a year and now i've given him a deadline.

- I'm seen as a local miniature painting expert (I don't, but I'll enjoy the gleam my ego gets from it) and I regually give children free lessons on the delights (and frustrations) of mini figure painting - the classes are soon to be extended to adults. When applying for the 'Eavy Metal Team (the local GW store suggested it), I forgot to put my contact details on my C.V and covering letter.

- I had a talent for designing (and making) clothes at school. It's a talent that I've never polished nor pursued. I still love reading fashion magazines and looking at fashion photography, though. Amusingly, I avoid nearly all colour and only wear black - consider it a disguise. :-$

I used to spend hours on the old skool paintbrush that came with Windows 3.1 doing minature cities. The "newer" paintbrush is not the same.

I'm a dab hand at embroidery, patchwork and sewing.

I'm very, very good, to teh point of it being freakishly concerning, at inserting cannulas and needles into people's veins. And I've only been doing it for about a year.

I have been playing guitar for about 20 years, and I was in a couple bands until a couple years ago. SWAGE was our name and we played a lot of shows around central Missouri. We only played original songs that we wrote-no cover songs!!!!!!!

I am strangely good at Pinball. I once scored slightly over 1.6 Billion points on a Pinball machine called Whitewater.....that was a long game. I once played on a machine called Fun House for over 6 hours straight after paying for the first game. I had so many free games that I would tell someone to come over and play a fre game while I went to piss. After 6 hours, my buddies got sick of being there and told me they wanted to get going to a party-I decided to go along with them. I could have likely played for the rest of the night. I was in the zone.

My lady and I moved to Rochester, MN about two years ago. It is a nice place, but it is freaking cold in the winter.

Hows the swordplay? Have you kept your tunic clean and pressed along with the tights? :D

Those are pretty cool hobbies! I'd love to play an instrument, but I lack enough co-ordination.

Nah, iam not that medieval re-actor type.. I do in past traditonal Arts of takeda nakamur-ha ryu samurai school, thats where i learn to handle a sword and other weapons. But i have no strong connections to europe.. I study assyrology on university.. ancient asia and near east are my prefered cultures..thats why i doing that that hobby.. Horseback archery is a very old tradition who was most in use by the mongols, huns, persians and indians, and i think its good to keep that tradition alive.

I live in austria so its very common that people have a hobby like going on medieval festivals or pray to their ancestors...doing european swordfight etc...thats normal here..but i'am in that line unusual because i like exactly the counterpart. A lot of people in my country does not understand this.. They say " you should honour our cultural heritage " blabla..but i do not see me as an austrian and i see the medieval times in europe as very barbaric and unciviliced :D

Wow, I'm super boring but I'll try....

I'm a Buddhist.

I own 3 handguns and a shotgun. Each of which has a name.

I have a PhD in Medieval Lit. (Yeah, that's, uh...SUPER useful).

I knit.

I read Tarot cards professionally for a while.

And I have a metric assload of cats.

HK, now if only I could find some way to combine them all: I'd be UNSTOPPABLE.
