I don't know if any of you remember seeing this cartoon but I loved it, it reminds me of transformers and if you watch AND listen, you'll see why.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UEl2c4kY_7g part 1

he has all 15 parts in his videos, feel free to watch them, it's another great series from the 80's.

Well its the shame announcer as transformers, and I believe thats scatman cruthers doing the theme song.

I remember this show as well, I had a few of them.

I had the T-rex version seen in the show.

I almost wonder if this show is the reason why Transformers eventually introduced Powermasters, Headmasters, and Targetmasters.

Interesting conicidence. I just got done watching all fifteen episodes myself last night.

Yes, I'm pretty sure this short miniseries provided Sunbow with a training ground for when the would eventually produce the franchise we've all gotten to know and love.

If you listen closely you can hear sound effects that were recycled into the G1 cartoon (when Tyrannix smashes up Jarrok and Argus in the opening credits, you hear some very distinctive "clanking" sounds).

Some of the soundtrack was also reused in season 2 of G1.

Also, the sound that Unicron makes after consuming Lithone in the movie is used in this show.

Heh, I wasn't alive for the cartoon, but I rember me and my cousin being into the toys when we were younger.

Some of my crowning achivements were a tank that looked like a hailfire droid and a ship from the computer game Descent.

They could be in the same universe as well.
TF season 3 since they never give the year that Robotix is set in, and who knows if the battlecruiser that shot down the humans could've been a Decepticon or Quintesson battlecrusier.

It's fun to imagine the possiablities.

Hmmm. I'm trying to think which part of the show that was. :-?

Another thing: didn't the ending to this show make you think of "More Than Meets The Eye"?

I could see those outfits they wore as future outfits for the EDC. Maybe it was even Thunderwing at the controls of that pursuit ship, LOL.

I absoluetly loved this movie when I was a kid. I remember I used to have my mom rent it for me just as much as I rented Transformers videoss (1st season episodes). Very nostalgic piece of entertainment! :D

Youtube is the one of greatest things to ever come to the internet!

Every time I went the video store as a kid I'd rent Robotix and Transformer's the movie, they only had a few regular episodes up there anyway. We rented and watched those things so much that the tapes started to fade.
