Hello guys and gals. Please forgive me for the geeky topic title.

The advent of the new live action Transformers films rekindled my childhood love of all things transformers (although tbh I can't say I care that much for the Bayformers films and have very low expectations for TF3). I found this website back in 2007 ish and enjoyed visiting it semi-regularly, in particular browsing the toy galleries swathed in nostalgia. :D

I was born in '88 so I only experienced G2 firsthand, but through car boot sales, etc, got my hands on some laybird TF G1 books (if I remember correctly) and pretty much immediately became a staunch G1 fan, even though it took another decade before I became aware of such terms, and even before I saw any transformers cartoons of any kind lol. (I've now got the G1 series + movie DVD boxset, thanks to an ex gf who turned out to be a transformers fan too.)

The only transformers toys I had at the time when I was a 90's kid that had names were the G2 Megatron tank and a G1 Hot Rod (that I picked up in pretty poor condition at a car boot). Thanks to this site I now know that I also had a "G2 Colossus (Clench)", but there was also a grey jet that looks vaguely like a Lockheed 117 (aka the "stealth fighter") and a purple ninja-esque robot that transformed into a vintage-styled car (I call is ninja becasue It had a light up curved plastic sword, that in retrospect, was more like a scimitar than a katana. but I was young, I guess) that I still can't identify. I assume there's some other site where I can find this out? :-(

Anyway, the only other forum I've ever regularly frequented is the PTA forum (that's Power Tab Archive, a guitar tabulature community to which I occasionally contribute), so please cut me some slack regarding forum stuff? ;)

My other interests are PC games (nothing that unusual there except that I'm still trying to catch up on games that are about 10 years old) and especially music- I'm studying a Music Technology BSc, I play guitar/bass/keys/drums & sing. I'm mainly influenced by 60's/70's/80's rock/blues/prog, so don't waste time talking to me about bands like Metallica 'cos I just wont' care lol :P

:twisted:WARNING: Seibertron.com contains nuts

Welcome to the boards. If you need to identify figures, TFU.info is the place to go. Let me get you started by identifying the figures you have:

Purple vintage car "ninja": G2 Laser Rod Jolt
Grey F-117 stealth fighter: G1/G2 Europe Predator Falcon

btw I'm Dutch, born in the same year as the TF debut (1984) and known as the walking TF encyclopedia :P
