Just got through watching both the Family Guy "Road to the North Pole" and the American Dad "For whom the sleigh bell tolls" and let me just say this...

Family guy's was definitely 'Out there', but I officially nominate the song "Christmas time is Killing us" for the title of Best television Christmas Special Song EVER!

American Dad didn't quite top it's last few Christmas specials (usually the high point of the season) but considering last year's involved the RAPTURE and Armageddon, I'm willing to let that slide.

Anyone else get a chance to watch these? Thoughts?

I saw some of the Family Guy episode, and while I can appreciate the message it was trying to say, I figured there was a way they could do it without doing...well, that.

I had a big laugh during Family Guy when they first saw the factory and though they were in Bridgport CT.I'm from Norwalk another city about 20 minutes away from Bridgport and yeas Bridgeport looks like a factory city.

But the one thing I didn't get was why bothe Family Guy and American Dad had different Santas and elves since they are the sam production company

I didn't like Family Guy's at all. It was almost too far out there.

I did like American Dad's and I thought the big battle at the end was really entertaining.

Honestly, the Family Guy special was pretty bad, I barely laughed at all, not that funny, but I can appreciate the message.

The American Dad was hilarious though, I think that American Dad is slowly replacing Family Guy as the funniest of the three Seth series, IMO of course.

American Dad long ago took the lead spot. Family guy traded on Randomness but when you do random stuff all the time, you learn to expect the truly random... which is an intriguing concept. :-?

Still, fun shows. Didn't see a Cleveland show special but honestly not interested.

Cleveland show = NOT funny. That show is terrible.

The only part of the FG special I saw was when Brian and Stewie beat the Mom and Dad with the baseball bat and tied up the little girl. I thought that was pretty funny! (It's only a show...c'mon).

I'm looking forward to "It's a Trap" where Roger makes an appearance.

I thought that was funny too. In fact, I liked the whole show. I love the "out there" stuff, so it was right up my alley. Randomness never gets old with me. I don't see how it can really be expected since it is "Random". The only thing to expect is the fact that it will be random, but not what's going to happen...... :???: ..... o.k. I don't even know where I was going with that....
