Currently reading:
Books:
A Song of Ice and Fire Book 3: A Storm of Swords; pretty good as the previous books are.
Covenant of Primus; not all that good, doesn't really keep me interested, it's also kind annoying

Comics
Orbital Spinoff 1: First encounters; Love the Orbital series, Franco-Belgian comics are usually a good read, and this is an above average one of them. The spinoff isn't as good as the main series, but it's still better than most other comics.

Dragon Dynasty Book 3; really cool, another Franco-Belgian series, looked it up on-line and it looks like only the first book was released in English, a shame you're missing out.

I just finished reading [again, for the ?th time] the Tomorrow When the War Began series, by Aussie author John Marsden. I'd highly recommend it.

Now I'm starting in on the next three books that follow, the Ellie Chronicles. Not as good as the Tomorrow serie, but worth the read if you're looking for a realistic follow up.

I'm currently perusing my Codex:Chaos Space Marines at my leisure.

For "serious" reading, I'm reading a hefty tome on Persian Mythology (more for the Zoroastrian sections than anything)

Let's dig this one back up as well, huh?

On one side finally getting a chance to read all of the old run of Busiek, Ross and Anderson's Astro City - currently on the third volume.

On the other, getting through Steven Camden's Tape, George Saunders' Tenth of December and Roald Dahl's Boy and Solo. Want to read as much as I can before my students' exams come in and I lose will to read, live and breathe. :-(

Currently on Evie Wyld, All the Birds, Singing.

I have Patrick Ness, The Crane Wife and Nathan Filer, The Shock of the Fall on me for this weekend, as I travel to a from the Netherlands.

Though I also picked up the Marvel collection that includes X-Men: Days of Future Past. Haven't read it in a while, and only had it in Italian until now!

Working on the sequel to Atlantis Found, titled Valhalla Rising. Good book.

Anyone know if there will be a book adaptation of Age of Extinction?

Have no idea, actually. I know there won't be a comic adaptation, but that does not exclude spin-offs or sub-plots. :-?

Finished The Hunchback of Notre-Dame, now working on Les Misérables.
Such wonderfully dreary (and still relevant) social satire, but Victor Hugo sure loved digressing...

Being stuck at home for the last month with a work injury, I've read quite a bit. Tried out game of thrones, but it's just not my cup of tea. Re-read the wheel of time series, and the Odd Thomas series. Right now I've just started Steve King's newest book.

I gotta finish those darn appendices in The Return Of The King...I read the whole novel, but not the information-dump that is the appendices. Like...holy crap...how to pronounce Quenya?! Hobbit vowels? I can't take this....

I just got done with Steve Jobs. I don't know what else to read now, and I don't read much either. I also read The Devil and the White city.

It takes a lot for me to get into a book.

Starting to wish there was an abridged Les Mis. Besides the play, I mean.

Ha! Yeah, he can drag on a bit. :P

Currently halfway through Umberto Eco's La misteriosa fiamma della regina Loana. Will be finishing William Gibson's Neuromancer when I get back to the UK.

And finally finished! Took long enough, but totally worth it. I cried.
I suspect if/when I ever re-read it down the road, I'll actually appreciate all those asides and digressions when they're not interrupting the main narrative.

I am enjoying re-reading the Hannibal books by Thomas Harris. Halfway through Silence of the Lambs at the moment.

I've been trying to get myself to read some thicker novels, the 1s that are like 1000 pages long. I decided on either 11/22/63 by Stephen King or The Once and Future King to start with. Why? Because I saw Magneto reading it in X2. And a friend just happened to have it on a bookshelf, so I picked it up, thought it would be interesting.

In comics, I'm getting ready to read the DW Energon comics for the 1st time ever.

Also, I'm currently reading Lost Empire by Clive Cussler. Good read.

T.H. White is great, I definitely recommend it.

You'll find a lot of things familiar, too, if you grew up on certain cartoons. :D

I'm looking for any recommendations people might have for fantasy authors. I'm a fan of Terry Brooks, David Eddings, Terry Pratchett et al.
