I have had my fair share of animal encounters here at home: voles, coyote, red tail hawks, goshawks, shrike, 1000’s of deer and many others. I love them all. You see I’m a animal rescuer, anytime a bird hits my window, I’m there with the cage. I keep them for about a hour until the shock wears off and then release them back into the wild.

If someone can tell me how to post images (how do you do that?), I can show pictures of a owl I had. So, in the meantime, I’d like to see your animal close encounters!

I used to have a few raccoons that would eat out of my trash can. They never acted aggressive or made a mess so we left them alone. We even named one Avril when we heard someone on the radio say that Avril Lavigne looked like a raccoon.

All we get in wildlife are ducks and other assorted water fowl like coots, geese and swans. Strangely enough, one certain animal made a home at our home: a lone muskovy duck. You know, the kind with a fleshy mask? She'd often fly over into the yard and peck at our feet for food. Despite being a "wild" animal, she was quite docile, my wife picked her up on multiple occasions. She's gone now, and we all miss her.

Well I’m sorry to forgotten this thread but…… WILD LIFE UPDATE with your host godzillabot.

Good evening seibertron this mourning the dreaded Goshawk struck again this time his victim was a quail instead of his usual victim’s mice and voles. This just in the Nuthatch has made a guest appearance in the front yard. The famous seed burglars raided the feeders this evening but were found out to be deer behind those masks.
