Story Here

What do you think. I believe it is kind of a good idea. I have been a firm believer that you should be able to drink when you are 18 and out of high school. I mean you can sign up for the military vote for president, but you can't throw back a couple beers.

People will drink underage regardless. If they lower it to 18, then kids will start drinking around 15. That's what happened in my home town.

Yeah they are doing that here in South Dakota. I know it will never completely get rid of underage drinking. It would help out with the college stuff though. They are always getting busted around here because that is what the cops look for here at SDSU during the weekends when college is in session.

Eh, some people will be irrisponsible no matter what, I doubt there are many people in the world who have no idea that alcohol is bad for you these days, so if they go ott then on their heads be it. Anyway, I think its more important to encourage sensible drinking than setting a minimum age.

Maybe they should..................

Maybe the goverments should make the legal age at infant................there will be no fake ID's or underage drinking...............Unless mom will get buzzed when prego, then maybe they will consider that under age drinking. ROTFLMAO> :-?

There will never be an end to underage drinking, nor to fake IDs. A person can do a lot more with a fake driver's license than drinking under 21.

that doesn't eliminate the problem, all one has to do is find someone older than the age limit, get them to buy the booze, then have a house party or something.   (hint hint)

I started boozing at 15, although I should point out that there was no age limit set on consuming alcohol at the time.

I think that a age limit of 16 is more then enough, you should be able to enjoy you teen years while they still last.

I'm all for the measure. People get to vote at 18, join the army at 18, and smoke at 18. Why do they have to wait 3 more years to drink?

If I can get shot for my country at 18 I should be able to drink too. Drinking ages are stupid anyways. Kids need to be taught growing up how to drink responsibly and for those that get into issues with alcohol it's natural selection baby.

I notice a lot at the High School, I go to kids are always bragging how much they can drink. I personally think that underage drinking is one the most stupid things are person can.
Keep in mind, I'm in the 9th grade. Now,I have no intents on
drinking alcohol until I am 21 years old.

Thats little early Mkall.

Because teenagers never get pregnant as it is, lowering the drinking age will start it all. /:)

No seriously.
Younger Parents means that more people will be entering the work force sooner. Thus paying into Social Security

Old people work just as well for that. Although we could raise humans like cattle for food....
