First the earthquake news, then the tsunami, and now? Right now, one of neighbors is watching the fire department try to save their home. This is the second home to burn down in less than 4 months.

I know full well what people mean by standing by and feeling powerless to do anything.

It's 5 minutes 'til midnight. I surely hope tomorrow's a better day for all.

I hope it's better, too.
