Ive been useing photobucket for sometime , Im trying to add a picture to my avatar but it tells me the file is to big and other way i can make the file smaller , I use window 7 on my computer thanks or can i email the pic and you can download it to the right size.

Well, you can resize the picture if you have any picture viewer prog installed (I recommend Irfanview) and upload the smaller picture.

Shrink the image to size required, then save as..
.PNG
JPEGs and BMP and GIF(unless its animated) are crap for this kinda thing.

Photobucket has its own image resize tool. Just click on your image to bring it up in its own page, and the on the menu just above the image, click edit, resize. You can set the dimensions there.
For formats jpeg is fine, unless you plan on having transparency or animation in the avatar.
For transparency you'll want PNG or GIF though PNG is much better, for animation only GIF.
