I do.

Unfortunately, he passed away today at the age of 89, due to bone cancer.

Rest in peace good sir, you were entertaining to say the least.

I used to adore the Mr. Wizard show on Nickelodeon. Apparently, there was an even older iteration of it back in the black and white TV days that my siblings used to watch. Bill Nye was wacky, but Mr. Wizard was old school.

The World is a little less smart today.

Looks like we're gonna need another Timmy.

Aw, that was one of my favorite shows ever. The man was definitely an icon and really helped trigger my love of science.

RIP Don Herbert.
Long live Mr. Wizard!

I happen to know that the cancer caused him a lot of suffering, it was time, he's at peace now.

Heard about it last night.

Mr.Wizard was awesome.

At least now he's not suffering and pulling wicked experiments in the big laboratory in the sky.

That show used to be the heat, man. I used to watch that everyday.

Sucks that he is gone though. Hell, I thought he was already dead.

You can order the DVD boxed sets of both the old black and white version and the Nickelodeon version we grew up with here:

Mr wizard beat the pants off of later shows like friggin bill nye (bill nye was just annoying). To be honest though, I'm surprised he lived this long. He was pretty old back when his show was on. He also did some of those cable in the classroom things years later.

:-(

I loved watching Mr. Wizard back in the 80s. Those were the days, early Nickelodeon programming. He'll be missed...
