Um, no it isn't. Amputate means to remove or cut off something useless, usually a limb. If he had said "Cuts off", maybe, but it wasn't misleading.

Also, I want a Chainsaw/Shotgun/Foam Hulk-Hand if I get anything amputated.

I want a flamethrower for a hand.

Machine gun hands? I'd want an Energon Axe.

Speaking of not having a spine, I'd like to back out of the whole Impactor knife-for-a-hand deal. Knowing me, I'd end up slicing my face off while swatting flies or picking my nose.

I'd go with Mega Man's arm cannon. Regular hand, for practicality; laser cannon, for smiting my enemies; and a huge number of other settings. "Oh, need the hedges trimmed? It's cool, I beat Cutman this morning."

And yeah, the title is a bit misleading. I thought this was going to be about some crazy dude who cut off his arm so he could attach a robot arm. I didn't know it was about a disabled man who volunteered for an entirely reasonable elective surgery.

I'd go with some retractable blades and a plasma cannon when they actually get invented.

I was just thinking today, that if I had an engineering degree, I so would invent a hand with retractable blades... and a Mega Buster, too.

I would so do that... for a Megabuster like Rockman...

Haha I didn't see the megabuster comments until after I had already posted. Looks like I'm not alone!
