Who here thinks Nadesico(I HATE how it's spelled! I specifically copy and pasted it to avoid a mispelling) is an awsome anime'? I've seen it a couple time, so feel free to discuss anything about it, from the spoofs to the model kits to whatever.

For the record, Gekigengar is one of the greatest things ever, and is one of the best subplots ever.

The movie I felt was really underwhelming, and a poor end to the series, mostly cause the tone is changed so much. Actually, what promted me to start this thread is this review from mahq.net: http://www.mahq.net/animation/nadesico/nadm.htm

It wasn't that bad, was it? I only saw it once a few yaers ago.

Oh yeah, and the series needed a few more focused mecha battles. What they had was pretty good, but I never felt the fights that intense.

Awesome, awesome series :grin:

I love it.
The movie was so much of a complete change from the series. I still liked it but as you said it is a complete change of tone and quite dissapointing.

Gai had to be my favorite character. "Gai Daigoji is the name that belongs to my soul!"

I really want to get some of the model kits of the aestivalis.

Have you read the manga? I've heard it's completely different from the series.

ah.... nadesico, i got to know this series due to Super Robot Wars, awwwwesome series, though, if you want to know the entire story, you have to read all the post-anime manga, the saturn game, and THEN watch Prince of Darkness... lemme look for a moment of zen for you guys, since in SRW, gai never dies

Nadesico was fairly awesome (especially if you're a mecha fan and get all the jokes), but the ending was complete bollocks, very nearly ruined the story for me.

The movie wasn't bad, although very different in tone (which I wasn't expecting).

but other then that it was great, though the change in the movie was just wow >.> but still

yeah they should of had more mecha fights I just feel like they weren't strong enough fights I gusse
